Who you’ll be working with

We ideate, create, and coordinate. We analyze, strategize, organize, and prioritize. We bridge the communication channel between the client and our project team. We chart the course and navigate the product roadmap sprint by sprint. Some of us are product owners. Some of us are scrum masters. Many of us wear multiple hats and do whatever’s needed to deliver successful projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications using React/NextJS (TypeScript) on the frontend and Python (Django/FastAPI) or Node.js (Express/NestJS) on the backend.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and performant UI components and backend services
• Develop and integrate RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Contribute to architecture discussions and help define best practices across frontend and backend systems.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit/integration testing, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the stack.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in collaboration with DevOps and QA teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)

• Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on development experience in fullstack development
• Strong proficiency in React/NextJS (TypeScript), including state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and modern frontend practices
• Solid experience with backend development using Python (Django, FastAPI) or Node.js (Express, NestJS)
• Experience designing, implementing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL API services
• Strong understanding of database design and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines through github actions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Experience working in agile or scrum-based environments
• Familiarity with cloud-based logging, monitoring, and security tools

Bonus Points for these (Preferred Experience)

• Experience with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Contentstack, Sanity)
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, Saleor)
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience working on healthcare, fintech, or regulated industry projects
• Experience with Data analytics platforms like GCP BigQuery, snowflake

The United States Based Salary range for this role is: 140,000-200,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock depending on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a collaborative, proactive, and results-driven full stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and primarily remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and maintenance of our cloud-based applications, with a focus on both backend Ruby on Rails and frontend React development. Additionally, you will be responsible for deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform and ensuring optimal performance and scalability on AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions using Ruby on Rails, incorporating serverless architecture, microservices, and BFF patterns.
• Design and implement responsive frontend interfaces using React.js/Typescript ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver features within established timelines.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure components on AWS cloud using Terraform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from frontend UI elements to backend database queries.
• Generalize in technology by maintaining broad knowledge about the entire system and the technologies used.
• Own systems by designing and implementing larger initiatives, owning the production operations and monitoring of the system, and being aware of its SLAs.
• Proactively support other team members and help them to be successful.
• Challenge team processes, looking for ways to improve them.
• Create an impact on the team as a whole vs. specific parts of it.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on full stack development.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using Ruby on Rails, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience in frontend development using React.js, including state management with Redux or similar libraries.
• Proficiency in serverless architecture, microservices, and BFF patterns.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform or similar tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms is a plus.
• Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge solutions.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
