Role Summary 

We are currently looking for an energetic and detail-oriented office Coordinator who can wear many hats and is eager to be the first to open shop.

This is position is part-time and based in our Chicago headquarters and reports to the Senior Director of Talent & Development. Vibes has been recognized in 2026 as a Built In Best Places to Work.  

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain a clean and organized reception/kitchen area and greet all company guests 
• Lead and coordinate internal and external company-wide events 
• Organize and set-up social events (e.g. core weeks, happy hours, etc.) 
• Take ownership of ordering, replenishing and stocking kitchen and office supplies 
• Act as company liaison with building management and office vendors 
• Provide administrative support to all departments, even if it’s last minute! 
• Manage delivery and distribution of all mail logistics in the office

Compensation and Benefits 
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00, with the final rate determined based on relevant experience and skill set. Vibes offers a benefits package for part-time employees, including paid time off, paid sick leave, commuter benefits, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a collaborative, proactive, and results-driven full stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic and primarily remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and maintenance of our cloud-based applications, with a focus on both backend Ruby on Rails and frontend React development. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions using Ruby on Rails, incorporating serverless architecture, microservices, and BFF patterns.
• Design and implement responsive frontend interfaces using React.js/Typescript ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver features within established timelines.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure components on AWS cloud using Terraform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from frontend UI elements to backend database queries.
• Generalize in technology by maintaining broad knowledge about the entire system and the technologies used.
• Own systems by designing and implementing larger initiatives, owning the production operations and monitoring of the system, and being aware of its SLAs.
• Proactively support other team members and help them to be successful.
• Challenge team processes, looking for ways to improve them.
• Create an impact on the team as a whole vs. specific parts of it.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on full stack development.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using Ruby on Rails, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience in frontend development using React.js, including state management with Redux or similar libraries.
• Proficiency in serverless architecture, microservices, and BFF patterns.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform or similar tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms is a plus.
• Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge solutions.
• Dedication to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders, with a focus on usability, reliability, and scalability.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Compensation and Benefits 

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $240,000, including base salary and any related performance-based bonuses/commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
