Position Overview:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will play a key role in building and managing Kubernetes platforms that support cloud-native applications and services. This position focuses on architecting and managing reliable, scalable, and secure Kubernetes-based platforms on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance while optimizing costs and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform creation, Helm charts, Karpenter scaling, and Istio service mesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kubernetes Platform Creation: Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant Kubernetes platforms. Ensure clusters are optimized for production workloads, providing high resilience and operational efficiency.
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS,ECS, S3, VPCs, RDS, IAM, and more. Implement best practices for cost management, scaling, and security within AWS.
- Helm Management: Utilize Helm to automate and streamline the deployment of applications and services to Kubernetes clusters. Create, maintain, and manage Helm charts for production-ready deployments.
- Karpenter Implementation: Implement and manage Karpenter to dynamically scale Kubernetes clusters in response to workload demands.
- Istio Service Mesh Management: Configure and manage Istio to provide service-to-service communication, security, and observability within the Kubernetes clusters. Enable fine-grained traffic management, service discovery, and policy enforcement.
- Platform Automation & Scaling: Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure and applications. Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure a seamless flow from development to production with minimal downtime.
- Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues related to performance, availability, and security in a timely and effective manner.
- Security & Compliance: Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure with appropriate access controls, network security, and compliance frameworks.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Kubernetes platform setup, operational procedures, and best practices. Promote knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes/Helm;
- 4+ years of Experience with Terraform.
- 5+ years of Experience with AWS
- Experience with multi-region cloud environments.
- Proven experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, etc.) and solid understanding of cloud-native architectures.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes platform creation, management, and optimisation (e.g., setting up highly available clusters, networking, and storage).
- Hands-on experience with Helm for Kubernetes application deployment and management.
- Practical experience with Karpenter for dynamic scaling of Kubernetes clusters and optimising resource usage.
Expertise in managing and securing Istio for service mesh, including traffic management, security, and observability features. - Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Terraform, Ansible, Spinnaker).
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go for infrastructure management and platform automation. - Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK Stack.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud platforms and Kubernetes (e.g., role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and compliance frameworks).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications (Preferred): CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer), or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
Additional requirements:
- This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our CI/CD ecosystem, cloud infrastructure automation, and developer platform. This is a journey-level, fully qualified position where you will independently design and drive solutions across complex, diverse projects — bringing both technical depth and collaborative leadership to everything you do.
You will work at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, AI-driven tooling, and modern cloud operations, partnering closely with development and TechOps teams to accelerate delivery cycles and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments, applying industry best practices to optimize delivery speed and system reliability.
- Automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud resources (VMs, EC2, and more) using Infrastructure as Code — with Terraform as the primary tool — ensuring consistent, repeatable, and auditable deployments.
- Manage and optimize cloud networking configurations, supporting complex developer workflows and infrastructure scalability requirements.
- Integrate AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities into DevOps tooling and developer workflows, including leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) for intelligent automation and context-aware pipeline tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce toil, and continuously improve the release process.
- Apply security best practices to deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure, proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Monitor, observe, and optimize infrastructure performance, taking initiative to resolve complex issues before they impact customers.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies — particularly in the AI/LLM space — and provide guidance on how to incorporate them effectively into organization workflows.
- Communicate technical strategies and recommendations clearly to senior internal and external stakeholders, adapting your approach to diverse audiences and often driving alignment on difficult decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience (or 3 years with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience).
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code — this is a must-have.
- Hands-on, production-level experience building and deploying AI/LLM-integrated systems — this is a must-have. You have worked directly with large language model APIs, designed AI-assisted workflows, and shipped real tooling powered by LLMs in an engineering or DevOps context.
- Hands-on, production-level experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) — this is a must-have. You have implemented MCP-based integrations to build intelligent, context-aware developer tools, automation pipelines, or agent workflows, not just read about it.
- Strong command of CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar).
- Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure (EC2, VMs, VPCs, IAM, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, DNS).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, resolve ambiguous and complex problems, and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or container orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Knowledge of observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs).
US Pay Range:
The US National annual base salary range for this full-time position is $131,500-$154,700 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US. About this position:
We’re looking for a deeply technical, strategically minded Domain Architect to lead the next evolution of our platform architecture. In this role, you’ll rapidly assess our existing systems, define convergence opportunities between key domains, and shape the integration strategy that drives scalability, velocity, and long-term technical excellence. You’ll bridge product, engineering, and data to define clear domain boundaries, establish technical standards, and guide the modernization of our architecture—ensuring we balance innovation with business impact.

What you'll be doing:
Strategy
- Evaluate and define the target-state domain architecture across multiple products, identifying convergence opportunities and technical debt reduction paths.
- Design and lead a scalable integration strategy between heterogeneous systems (e.g., Rails <-> Node/React Native via APIs, Kafka, or event streams).
- Define domain boundaries and service ownership models that enable sustainable growth and platform flexibility.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align architectural priorities with product roadmaps and business outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional discussions on modernization strategy, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability.
Technical/ Execution
- Decompose monolithic applications (Rails, Django, Laravel) into domain-based services or bounded contexts, using domain-driven design principles.
- Define integration and data synchronization patterns between distributed systems, ensuring schema evolution and API versioning best practices.
- Architect core platform services—authentication, identity, content, and analytics—shared across web and mobile products.
- Apply deep hands-on knowledge of AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Postgres, EventBridge/SNS/SQS) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or principal architecture role.

- Deep understanding of domain-driven design (DDD), service decomposition, and event-driven patterns.
- Strong AWS architecture experience (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, EventBridge, SQS/SNS) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Demonstrated ability to modernize legacy systems incrementally, driving results without full rebuilds.
- Solid understanding of data synchronization, API design, schema evolution, and distributed systems reliability.
- Experience defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and deployment strategies (canary, blue-green, multi-env).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.

Our approach to compensation:
We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.
Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
Salary Range:
$200,000 - 230,000 OTE
