Your Role at impact.com
The basic purpose of this position is to fill a need within the Corporate Accounting finance team involved in the day-to-day core accounting functions within the business. Carrying out effective financial controls over the functions allocated including, as well as the ability to adapt and implement change to the existing processes within the financial control environment. You will be expected to collaborate and support the group Corporate Accounting function, the FP&A function on an ad hoc basis, providing support to the Technical accounting function and any other functions that require support within the parameters of the role. You will play a key-role in the month-end close and reporting process, contributing to ensuring that our reporting is timeously and accurately closed in line with the business objectives and group accounting policies. The candidate is a fast learner, a self-starter and capable of producing work of a high quality without close supervision.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead for Data Systems, you will lead a squad of engineers focused on designing, building, and maintaining data systems that are maintainable, reliable, and understandable at scale. You will set technical direction, own squad-level delivery outcomes, and manage the health and growth of your team - all while remaining a strong hands-on engineering contributor.
This role is centered on designing resilient distributed systems, including handling retries, partial failures, backpressure, and consistency tradeoffs. You will set the bar for clear interfaces, strong tests, and solid observability (metrics and tracing) so our systems are easy to run, debug, and evolve - and hold the team to that bar consistently.
You are expected to function as the primary technical and people leader for your squad: breaking down complex problems into well-defined units of work, driving planning and cross-team alignment, governing releases and stability, and developing your direct reports through coaching and feedback.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Systems, the Systems Analyst is the operational backbone of our Customer Operations technology stack. You will own the day-to-day health, configuration, and continuous improvement of the systems that power how we work - most critically our FreshWorks implementation (FreshDesk for ticketing, FreshChat for chat), which supports Support, Success, Compliance, Renewals, Onboarding, and many other teams across impact.com.
This is not a "configure it and walk away" role. Our FreshDesk environment is large, complex, and deeply integrated into our business operations. It serves many teams with distinct workflows, automations, routing rules, SLA configurations, and reporting needs. You will own all of it - ensuring it runs cleanly, scales as the business evolves, and gets simpler over time, not more convoluted.

Reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Systems, the Internal Systems Engineer (Applied AI) is a specialized, high-impact builder role dedicated to supercharging our Customer Operations teams (Support, Success, Onboarding, Implementation).

First 30 days – $1.5K (Part-time transition phase)

Shadow and support ongoing accounts during the next 15 days while preparing to take on your own clients
Days 31–60 – $3K (Full-time start)
Transition to full-time
Begin managing your first 3 client accounts independently
Days 61–90 – $4–5K + performance bonuses
Continue growing your portfolio
Earn bonuses based on hitting revenue targets
Negotiate your term contract annually
This will depend on the amount of clients and the quality of work.

You will work alongside our Support Manager and Founders to:
• Source private chefs across the UK, U.S, UAE & global markets
• Use internal tools and CRM's to pull candidate pools
• Screen, shortlist and prepare candidates
• Present high-quality chef profiles
• Speed-run recruitment workflows
• Communicate clearly with chefs via WhatsApp and Email
• Coordinate early-stage interviews
• Ensure candidates match client dietary + lifestyle requirements
• Keep data clean, updated and accurate
• Hit monthly placement targets
This role is NOT sales, and NOT long-term client management — your core mission is fast, accurate delivery.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experience in hospitality, chef hiring or private staffing is a bonus — but not required.
Expected Earnings: R21k – R33k+ per month, depending on output.
Base Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month (depending on experience)
Bonuses: Performance bonuses based on number of placements
Promotion Path: 6–24 months roadmap with salary growth
Full-time remote position. You’ll typically work South Africa daytime hours, with overlap into UK times, but you may be required to work later during busy periods to overlap with U.S time when needed.
