ABOUT VEG
In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most. Since then, we’ve expanded across the U.S. and into Canada, with hospitals open 24/7, 365 days a year. At VEG do things differently, from having open-concept hospitals, where you can handle emergency cases of all kinds (even exotics!), to creating an emergency experience that gives customers and patients the care they deserve.
We’ve also created a better experience for everyone who works here—our VEGgies! At VEG we find a way to say yes to the career you want in veterinary emergency medicine. Yes to working in an environment where you can find your place and feel valued for the amazing work you do. Yes to having unparalleled opportunities for learning and mentorship so you can grow where you want to go in your career. And yes to having a voice—and the support—to make an impact here in ways you never thought possible.
THE JOB
As an emergency veterinarian, you’re more than just passionate about helping people and their pets; you thrive on it, especially when they need you most. At VEG, we find a way to say YES to supporting you, so you can be the best, most confident ER professional possible and grow your career in unexpected directions. With a culture rooted in mentorship and continuous learning—from on-the-floor guidance to VEG Education programs and unlimited ER-focused CE—you’ll never stop expanding your skills. You’ll handle any emergency that comes through the door, from routine cases to complex surgeries, and treat every kind of pet, including exotics! As a leader on the hospital floor, you’ll have the chance to be a superhero for your customers, backed by a team and resources that empower you to take your career further than you ever imagined.

Compensation for this position
Juno Veterinary is committed to compensating our team members fairly, with clarity and of course, with their growth in mind! This role has a salary/hourly compensation range of $170,000 to $200,000 per year.
Let’s break it down to keep it real, this is a wide range. This range reflects the variations in experience and skillset an individual could possess within this role, as well as the growth that would be needed to meet the top end of the range.
Someone newer to their career in vet med, and specifically in this role, would get started at our lower end of this range. This means that we see your amazing potential and think you’d be a great fit within the team, and we acknowledge that we will have to work together to get you additional experience and skillset to grow further.
Someone more established as a veterinary professional would start closer to the top end of our range. We recognize that this isn’t your first rodeo! Your values and mission align closely with ours and you bring a strong skillset that will be a huge asset in our growth together!
This role is located in Toronto at our Leslieville clinic and reports directly to the National Medical Director. This role is currently vacant and ready to be filled.
Juno Veterinary uses AI as part of our interview screening process, to help us take notes during our conversations and to create summaries for reference. Beyond that, please rest assured, any decisions in hiring are made by a human!
