About the team

Our Software Supply Chain Security stage engineering teams are responsible for authentication and access within GitLab. We also build features that help customers manage vulnerabilities, dependencies, security policies, and compliance frameworks across their organizations. Our group includes four core teams (Authentication, Authorization, Pipeline Security, and Compliance) and more than 40 engineers. We work asynchronously across regions and partner closely with product, security, and infrastructure to deliver secure-by-default features for customers in highly regulated industries.

An overview of this role

As an Intermediate Backend Engineer on the GitLab Knowledge Graph team, you'll help build and operate a graph data service that supports GitLab Duo agents, analytics, and architecture-level features across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed deployments. You’ll join a small, Rust-first team that values clear ownership, thoughtful system design, and rigorous thinking about data and reliability.

The Knowledge Graph service is a Rust backend that builds a property graph from GitLab’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) and code data. It uses ClickHouse, NATS JetStream, and the Data Insights Platform. It exposes secure graph queries and MCP tools used by AI agents and product features. In this role, you’ll deliver features and improvements in well-scoped areas, learn the broader architecture, and contribute to reliability, observability, and operational readiness.

In your first year, you’ll take clear ownership of specific components or features (for example, parts of the SDLC indexing pipeline or query paths). You’ll help reduce single points of failure with better tests and runbooks, and you’ll help the team ship analytical services that are easier to maintain and evolve over time.

What you’ll do

• Implement and iterate on backend features in the Rust-based Knowledge Graph service, including changes to the query engine, SDLC and code indexing flows, and API endpoints (including MCP endpoints) under guidance from senior and staff engineers.

We sit within the Data Engineering organization. We're a small group of senior engineers and we work closely with partners across AI (Duo Agent Platform), analytics, infrastructure and delivery, and security because our work spans many parts of the platform.

We collaborate asynchronously and optimize for strong ownership rather than a feature factory model. We each build a meaningful understanding of the system and help evolve it over time. A key challenge for us right now is scaling sustainably. About the Role

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll lead design for cross-cutting platform experiences–the foundational elements that touch every workflow regardless of stage. This role requires deep collaboration; every decision ripples across the product. You’ll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and designers cross stages to translate ambiguity into clear direction, define solutions, and ship work that meaningfully improves the experience for developers and DevSecOps teams.

Warp is scaling its enterprise motion around Oz — Warp's programmable agent platform for running and coordinating agents at scale. Oz Cloud Agents are cloud-connected background agents that run from events, schedules, or integrations, giving engineering teams scalable automation with shared observability. Enterprise customers can choose from Warp-hosted execution (where Oz handles everything from sandboxed environments to integrations) to self-hosted execution (where agents run on the customer's own infrastructure while Oz provides orchestration, session management, and visibility).

Every enterprise has different security requirements, internal tooling, and use cases and we need someone to bridge the gap between our platform and their unique environments. As our Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll be the first hire dedicated to making enterprise implementations successful, turning promising pilots into production deployments that drive real results. As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you will...

• Own end-to-end enterprise implementations. Lead engagements from first discovery call through production deployment. Run deep discovery on customer engineering environments, define success criteria, architect agent workflows tailored to their stack, and own the outcome end-to-end. 
• Architect agent workflows with customers. Help enterprise engineering teams design agent architectures for their specific use cases: selecting triggers (Slack, Linear, GitHub Actions, webhooks, cron schedules, API calls), configuring sandboxed environments, structuring multi-step agent workflows, and designing integration-driven automation that fits into their existing development lifecycle.
• Build production-grade solutions alongside customers. Write and iterate on agent prompts, skills, and configurations. Set up environments, secrets, MCP servers, and integrations. Debug agent runs using session sharing and observability tools. Ship a working version in days, then harden it over weeks with proper monitoring and iteration based on real usage. 
• Guide self-hosted deployments. For enterprises that need execution on their own infrastructure, help configure managed workers (Docker, Kubernetes, or Direct backend), set up task routing, connect private registries, and validate network connectivity, ensuring they get the same orchestration and observability benefits as Warp-hosted execution.
• Accelerate deals through technical execution. Join customer calls from the very first discovery meeting to understand their technical environment and identify opportunities for Oz cloud agents.
• Develop reusable implementation patterns. Turn what you build into reusable patterns that make the next implementation faster. Document architecture patterns, reference implementations, agent skills, and templates.
• Be the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering. You'll be closer to customer needs than almost anyone else on the team. Surface implementation friction, feature gaps, and common pain points. Translate what you're learning in the field – which integrations should become first-party, what's blocking faster deployments, where the platform needs to evolve – into actionable feedback that shapes the Oz platform roadmap. 

You may be a good fit if...

• You're a strong, customer-focused engineer. CS degree or equivalent experience. You'll go through our standard software engineering interview loop because you need to be able to build production-quality solutions, not just advise on them.
• You have FDE-equivalent experience. Ideally, most recently a Forward Deployed Engineer, or you might be an early engineer or founder at a startup where you worked closely with GTM and did pilot implementations for enterprises. The key signal: you've built custom technical solutions for customers, not just internal products.

Total compensation at Warp consists of two parts: 1) a competitive base salary, and most importantly, 2) meaningful equity.

We are hiring an Engineering Manager for our Issuing team to lead Lithic’s next phase of growth.

The Issuing team is responsible for getting a card into an end user’s literal and figurative hand or wallet. We own core parts of the card and account lifecycle, including KYC/KYB flows for account holders, card issuance (physical and virtual), tokenization for digital wallets, and the data models and APIs that power these experiences. This team owns some of our most critical customer facing paths at the heart of our offering.

The systems we maintain have high standards of reliability and correctness, because they sit on the critical path for customers launching and operating card programs. The team primarily uses Python, Rust, and AWS, and interfaces with a broader service ecosystem across Lithic.

Staff Software Engineer - Grafana Cloud Observability, Kubernetes Monitoring

The Opportunity: 

Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana. It allows our customers to leverage the best open source observability software – including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo – without the overhead of installing, maintaining and scaling their own observability stack

The Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument their code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud and visualize and explore it.

In this role, you will be part of the team that builds our Cloud Observability stack that allows customers to collect and visualize metrics from various systems and applications. We build and maintain the backend of opinionated applications such as Cloud Provider Observability, Database Observability, and Kubernetes Monitoring. This includes the dashboards, alerts, documentation, and infrastructure while working closely with other teams to ensure seamless experiences. We also strive to incorporate OSS contributions in our work by contributing to projects such as Alloy, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Beyla. The Observability department provides a core building block for customers using Grafana Cloud.

Role overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Pipeline / Tools Developer with strong games and engine experience to help design, build and implement the Open Digital Asset (ODA) platform — a framework for exchanging standardized, high-fidelity 3D assets across studios and pipelines.  

The ODA mission is to drastically reduce technical barriers and complexity in sharing 3D assets across the Sony Entertainment landscape, thereby unlocking creative collaboration and transmedia production opportunities. Following from an initial prototype and then establishing a low-friction asset exchange across Sony Entertainment, the program aims to promote adoption further across the wider industry. The Open Digital Asset project is built on the belief that harnessing universal standards for interchange and collaboration in digital media is instrumental for the industry as a whole.

This role sits at the intersection of USD architecture, real-world studio pipelines, game engines and open standards You’ll work closely with the Principal Engineer and partner directly with Sony Interactive Entertainment studios to ensure ODA provides concrete, near-term value for games teams. If you enjoy solving messy interoperability problems, care deeply about the benefit of standards, and want your work to make an impact on the industry at large, then this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and implement USD-based tooling to package, validate, transform, and exchange production assets for use in and out of game engines
• Develop and refine workflows that support DCC -> ODA -> Engine -> ODA round-tripping while preserving structure, metadata, and artistic intent
• Work directly with real game production assets (characters, props, environments) to validate solutions under real-world constraints
• Build Python APIs, CLI tools, and engine-adjacent utilities that translate studio- and engine-specific representations into standardized ODA packages—and back again
• Partner with engine, tools, and tech-art teams to integrate ODA concepts into Unreal or proprietary engines with minimal disruption
• Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and reference examples that make ODA understandable and adoptable by game teams
• Participate in design discussions around asset identity, provenance, versioning, metadata persistence, and cross-engine round-trip workflows
• Contribute to the evolution of ODA as an emerging open-source standard

Required Technical Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience as a pipeline, tools, or engine-facing developer in games, VFX, or animation,  ideally 4 - 6+ years 
• Strong working knowledge of USD, including composition arcs, variants, layers, kinds, payloads, attributes semantics and scene graph structure
• Hands-on experience integrating assets with game engines (knowledge of Unreal is valuable)
• Advanced high performance language skills (eg. C++, Rust)
• Working Python development skills, including maintainable libraries and command-line toolingAbility to conduct design discussions, code reviews and quality analysis
• Practical experience with real-time asset constraints: LODs, memory budgets, engine metadata, and runtime-friendly structures
• Solid understanding of DCC pipelines (eg. Maya, Houdini, Blender) and how data moves between DCCs and engines/

  Ability to debug, restructure, and reason about complex USD assets
  Strong judgment balancing technical correctness with usability for artists and tech artists

• Familiarity with MaterialX, USDShade, and real-time material translation challenges
• Experience preserving and round-tripping engine-specific metadata or custom schemas

The anticipated base salary for this position is $104,200 - 150,000/yr CAD.
