The Corporate Systems team focuses on maintaining secure, reliable systems that support employees across the company. This team works closely with Security, IT, and Engineering partners to manage identity systems, endpoint devices, and cloud infrastructure. The goal is to ensure systems are scalable, dependable, and prepared to address evolving security risks.

As an Application Engineer, you will manage and improve systems that support identity, device management, and cloud infrastructure. You will build automation to streamline account and device lifecycle processes, respond to technical issues, and contribute to engineering standards through code reviews and documentation. You will also use AI-assisted tools to enhance development workflows and improve efficiency.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

The Cloud Automation Engineer designs, builds, and operates automation-first cloud infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD, and serverless automation. The role enables secure, repeatable, and resilient cloud environments through standardized automation, self-service capabilities, and codified governance primarily in Microsoft Azure, with tertiary exposure to AWS. 

This role partners closely with Cloud Platform Engineering, Security, Network, and Operations teams to ensure all automation solutions are secure-by-design, private-network-first, and resilient by default, including full lifecycle support for business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) implemented through IaC. 

What will you do?

​​Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) & Cloud Automation 

• Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, ensuring infrastructure is reproducible, testable, and auditable. 
• Build and maintain reusable IaC modules aligned with platform standards, security guardrails, and network architecture patterns. 
• Implement automated provisioning, configuration, scaling, and decommissioning workflows for cloud infrastructure and shared services. 
• Define and maintain code repositories following industry BEST PRACTICES and strong code repository governance 
• Design and maintain BC/DR capabilities and recovery environments using Infrastructure-as-Code.  
• Automate recovery environment deployment and support validation/testing routines to ensure recoverability and resilience. 

CI/CD Pipeline Engineering  

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform automation. 
• Integrate testing, validation, and policy enforcement into pipelines to promote safe and consistent changes. 
• Enable repeatable deployments across environments using modern DevOps practices. 

​​​​Azure Automation & Serverless Engineering 

• Build automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Automation Accounts, and Azure Functions. 
• ​Develop event-driven and scheduled automation for platform operations, governance processes, and operational workflows. 
• ​Implement robust secret management and secure runtime configuration practices. 
• ​Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting.  
• ​Use appropriate scripting/tools to enable orchestration, integration, validation, and operational automation across platforms.

​​Collaboration and Support​ 

• Work closely with other IT teams to integrate cloud network solutions with existing systems and applications. 
• ​​Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems including router, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers and VPN concentrators. 
• ​Maximizing network performance by monitoring activity and utilizing observability tools such as Dynatrace and Azure monitoring. 
• ​Monitoring and maintenance of company-wide AV (Audio-Video) infrastructure – such as conference rooms, collaboration spaces etc.  
• ​Serve as the on-call network engineering for after-hours escalation issues as part of the company on-call rotation schedule.​ 

Modern Observability & Operational Telemetry ​ 

• Ensure automation solutions are observable and operationally supportable by integrating with modern observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, and Azure-native tooling including Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics. 
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and operational insights, enabling faster detection and root-cause analysis (RCA) by using telemetry (metrics/logs/traces) and platform standards. 
• Use modern query languages such as DQL (Dynatrace Query Language) and KQL (Kusto Query Language), with secondary knowledge of SQL, to support troubleshooting, insights, and automation-driven operations

Security & Compliance Engineering

• Embed cloud security and technology security best practices into all automation solutions (identity, secrets, least privilege, logging, secure configuration baselines). 
• Partner with Security teams to ensure automation aligns with enterprise security requirements and audit expectations. 
• Ensure changes are traceable and auditable through source control and deployment records. 
•  Apply a strong foundation in cloud network theory to ensure automation processes are designed with a private networking first priority.  
• Ensure automation supports secure connectivity patterns (segmentation, routing considerations, controlled ingress/egress, and service endpoint/Private Link-style design patterns where applicable). 

What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field with ​​one of the Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-400, Terraform Associate or Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional​ 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with batch scripting languages 
• ​Minimum 3 years of experience with technology process automation using tools such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Automation Accounts, Lambda or Power Platform 
• ​Minimum 2 years DevOps experience 
• ​Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AWS CloudOps Engineer  
• ​AZ-400 certification is highly desirable

The expected base salary range for this position is $64,500 - $114,500. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. About the Job

• Own the architecture, security, and day-to-day operations of our enterprise Okta tenant, including delivery of Okta Identity Governance (OIG), lifecycle management, SCIM provisioning, SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC), MFA, risk-based policies, and device trust.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for identity and access using Terraform, building reusable modules, guardrails, and automated workflows integrated with HRIS and ITSM systems to achieve least-privilege and timely provisioning/deprovisioning.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years implementing identity governance and automation using Okta Workflows, Okta Identity Governance (OIG), or an equivalent IGA platform.

• Demonstrated experience planning and executing certificate rotations and key management for SAML/TLS across multiple SaaS applications.

Staff Security Infrastructure Engineer, Red Team

Within the Product Security team, our Red Team delivers robust security assurance for Okta's products, services, and infrastructure.  You will be the team's dedicated infrastructure and tooling engineer, the first person in this role for a small team of operators. You will work alongside operators but not report through an operator chain; you'll collaborate as a peer focused on a different discipline.

We seek a Staff Security Infrastructure Engineer to own the engineering backbone that enables our operations. This is not a traditional operator role but a dedicated infrastructure, tooling, and automation engineering position embedded within the Red Team.  You will design, build, maintain, and continuously improve the platforms, infrastructure, and custom tooling that our operators depend on to execute engagements.

Your work directly enables the team to operate at a higher maturity level: faster infrastructure deployment, more resilient and OPSEC-aware architecture, automated workflows, and reliable custom tooling, freeing operators to focus on the mission.  Your role will also extend to cultivating stakeholder collaboration and elevating our company’s security posture through strategic engagement and proactive measures.  As the team matures, this role can evolve toward platform leadership, custom capability development, or a hybrid operator/engineer path.

What You Will Do

• Infrastructure Engineering & Automation:
• Own the full lifecycle of red team infrastructure: design, provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and teardown
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform (or equivalent) to automate deployment of C2 servers, redirectors, phishing infrastructure, payload-delivery systems, and supporting services.
• Resource and asset lifecycle management through tracking domains, certificates, cloud accounts, recurring expenses, and infrastructure resources; managing acquisition, rotation, and retirement.
• Tooling Development & Maintenance:
• Develop, maintain, and improve custom tools, scripts, and automation to support red team operations (e.g., payload generation pipelines, log aggregation, C2 profile management, infrastructure health checks), providing on-demand infrastructure/tooling support when issues or gaps arise.
• Collaborate closely with operators during engagement planning to understand infrastructure requirements, OPSEC constraints, and operational timelines.
• Building and maintaining a representative test environment for pre-operation validation of tools and tradecraft against a security stack similar to the target.
• Maintaining the team's source code repository with merge/pull request processes, documentation, and code quality standards.
• Ensuring engagement evidence, infrastructure logs, and operational data are centrally collected and accessible for reporting and after-action reviews.
• Contribute to and maintain metrics that demonstrate infrastructure maturity, operational efficiency, and readiness (e.g., deployment time, rebuild time, infrastructure availability during engagements).
• Security & OPSEC:
• Design infrastructure with OPSEC as a first-class requirement: network segmentation, traffic separation between operations, credential management, and access controls 
• Implement and manage secure access to red team infrastructure
• Create and update operational runbooks, infrastructure documentation, and SOPs for the team.
• Maintain clear records of infrastructure ownership and attribution to support deconfliction processes.

What You Bring

Required

• 8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a similar role with significant automation responsibilities
• Strong familiarity with Terraform (or equivalent IaC tooling) for multi-cloud infrastructure provisioning and management
• Experience operating in cloud-native, SaaS, or identity-focused environments
• Strong proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming or scripting language (Python, Go, Bash) with disciplined development practices (version control, code review, testing, documentation)
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, proxying, TLS), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of OPSEC principles as they apply to offensive infrastructure — you know why redirector chains, domain categorization, traffic separation, and certificate management matter.

Strongly Preferred

As a DevSecOps Lead, you will be an operational individual contributor responsible for embedding security directly into our products, pipelines, and development workflows — with a focus on CI/CD, C#/.NET applications, Azure, and AI-driven software delivery. This is a deeply technical role where you will write code, build tooling, and work closely with developers to ensure security is a natural part of how we build and ship software.

You will join the AI-SDLC team, which builds internal platforms and tooling that enable AI agents to operate across the development lifecycle. What You’ll Do

As a Senior Corporate Security Engineer, you'll help secure the systems GitLab team members rely on every day across a fully remote environment. This role sits within Corporate Security Engineering and focuses on building secure-by-default controls for endpoints and the SaaS platforms that support them, with a strong emphasis on macOS. You'll own meaningful technical decisions around endpoint hardening, automation, and detection, and you'll help turn security requirements into scalable engineering systems that are measurable, auditable, and designed to reduce friction for end users.

About the team

The Corporate Security Engineering team secures the internal environment GitLab team members use every day, including endpoints, identity systems, SaaS applications, and platforms that store sensitive internal data. It's a small, high-leverage team that treats security work as engineering work: building with code, operating through Git, and using reviewable, testable, and auditable workflows by default. The team partners closely with Information Technology, Security Operations, and Engineering across regions, collaborating asynchronously to build controls that scale across GitLab's all-remote workforce while reducing friction for end users.

The Role and Its Impact 

Our analog connectivity product portfolio includes sophisticated mixed-signal components that form the critical signal conditioning path in both optical modules and copper interconnects: transimpedance amplifiers, transmit drivers, continuous-time linear equalizers, and integrated analog subsystems. The firmware you develop will directly control the adaptive behavior, calibration sequences, and real-time performance optimization of these analog circuits deployed in data centers worldwide.  

As a Principal Engineer in our Signal Connectivity Engineering group, you'll shape firmware architectures that directly impact the performance and reliability of connectivity solutions powering AI infrastructure globally. You'll take end-to-end ownership of the software lifecycle, from pre-silicon planning through production deployment and field support. You will bridge the gap between sophisticated analog circuit design and the software intelligence required to make these circuits adaptive and robust. Working at the intersection of embedded systems and analog control, you'll collaborate closely with mixed-signal designers, systems architects, silicon validation engineers, and customer teams while building and leading a technical team in a high-growth company. 

We're a startup, and this role reflects that reality. You'll have responsibilities spanning firmware architecture, team building, CI/CD infrastructure, customer engagement, and lab automation. We're looking for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats and is energized by jumping into whatever needs doing. This position offers an opportunity to build and lead a team from the ground up. You'll help hire two engineers and will play an active role in recruiting as the team grows. • Own the complete firmware stack for analog connectivity products, from low-level hardware abstraction through customer-facing APIs

What You Bring 

Required Qualifications: 

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 
• 10+ years of embedded C/C++ firmware development in resource-constrained environments 
• Proven track record as a Technical Lead or Team Lead on embedded projects from architecture through production 
• Deep understanding of microcontroller architecture, memory-mapped peripherals, interrupt handling, and bare-metal firmware design 
• Solid experience with analog control loops: PID controllers, feedback systems, adaptive algorithms, and tuning methodologies 
• Strong proficiency with Linux development tools: gcc/clang, make, bash scripting, gdb, and git 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly 
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and systematic debugging approach on real hardware

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) with deep expertise in PostgreSQL at scale.

In this role you will conduct hands-on security assessments of connected devices, embedded systems, industrial control systems, and automotive platforms on behalf of our customers. You will combine deep hardware and firmware expertise with a consultative mindset to deliver clear, actionable findings that help manufacturers and operators understand and reduce risk.

• Plan and execute penetration tests and security assessments against IoT, ICS/OT, and automotive targets, including connected consumer devices, industrial controllers, and automotive ECUs and telematics units.

THE ROLE

Nice to Have

Key responsibilities:

• Be integral part of product development teams, and work closely with colleagues on launching new highly operable and performant systems into a cloud-native world
• Ensure smooth operation of build and deploy workflows, production applications/workloads, and infrastructure
• Define and implement monitoring and alerting to ensure visibility into systems’ health while avoiding alert fatigue; triage alerts, diagnose and resolve critical issues, perform root cause analysis, and remedy underlying causes
• Identify and remediate security issues and vulnerabilities
• Continuously improve processes and toolchain, which are in team’s ownership

Job Requirements:

• Hands on experience in working with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes cluster, worker etc.
• Experience build and managing orchestration, configuration, and provisioning automation with Kubernetes, and GitHub.
• Experience in working on AWS and its services like AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS, EBS, RDS, S3, Lambda, ELB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, SQS, and SNS
• Extensive experience with GitHub Actions to streamline CI/CD process.
• Experienced in administration/maintenance of source control management (SCM) systems such as GitHub.
• Experienced in Installing, upgrading and configuring Linux servers.
• Experience with scripting languages, like Python, Groovy, Bash/Zsh

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of DevOps/deployment pipeline experience
• 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based hosting solutions (AWS)
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.

What You’ll Do

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
• Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
• Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
