Responsibilities: 

• You will be collaborating with colleagues in the firmware group as we build new features and entirely new products together: deciding on the right software architecture, writing code and tests, measuring key metrics such as power use, and keeping the codebase healthy in the face of increasing complexity. You will participate in the entire design process as our software group negotiates with product managers and hardware engineers to find the intersection between what’s technically feasible and what customers want.

The Cloud Automation Engineer designs, builds, and operates automation-first cloud infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD, and serverless automation. • Develop dashboards, alerts, and operational insights, enabling faster detection and root-cause analysis (RCA) by using telemetry (metrics/logs/traces) and platform standards. 
• Use modern query languages such as DQL (Dynatrace Query Language) and KQL (Kusto Query Language), with secondary knowledge of SQL, to support troubleshooting, insights, and automation-driven operations

Security & Compliance Engineering

• Embed cloud security and technology security best practices into all automation solutions (identity, secrets, least privilege, logging, secure configuration baselines). 
• Partner with Security teams to ensure automation aligns with enterprise security requirements and audit expectations. 
• Ensure changes are traceable and auditable through source control and deployment records. 
•  Apply a strong foundation in cloud network theory to ensure automation processes are designed with a private networking first priority.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field with ​​one of the Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-400, Terraform Associate or Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional​

The expected base salary range for this position is $64,500 - $114,500. The System Software group comprises of the Firmware team, the Drivers and Utilities team and, the System QA team. The System Software group comprises of the Firmware team, the Drivers and Utilities team and, the System QA team. We are responsible for the enablement of all silicon and hardware platforms produced by our colleagues at Graphcore. The Team

The Drivers and Utilities team develop kernel and user space software to allow our customers to get maximum performance and utility from our unique hardware. Job Summary  

Reporting to a Team Lead in the frameworks team you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimising, maintaining and supporting the software required to ensure the machine learning accelerators that Graphcore develop enjoy first-class support in state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Triton (note: “Triton” here refers to the Triton language/compiler and not the inference framework).
