As a Platform Engineer – Support, you will provide first-level response within Interactive Brokers (IBKR) on any information technology-related issues concerning the Microsoft Windows platform. You will assist business and development end-users via telephone, email, and a centralised ticketing system to resolve or escalate IT issues.
This position requires strong technical knowledge and polished communication skills. Key competencies include intermediate knowledge of Windows and networking technologies, combined with a strong motivation to develop your skills further. You must demonstrate patience with those who are less technically proficient and be able to function effectively in a fast-paced business environment with a high sense of urgency.
Additional requirements for this role include dependability and a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty in assisting end-users and following technical issues through to resolution.

What You’ll Do
The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organisation is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and efficient adoption roadmaps for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, curious and collaborative team.
As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. You will aid your customers and will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support to do so. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organisation as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer’s needs.
The range of products and solutions offered by Cloudflare are broad so that we are able to meet our lofty goal of helping to build a better Internet. The Role

Maintain our existing software stack, including working with internal and external customers to identify issues, improving operational reliability and performance, and fending off technical debt. The stack is a mix of Rust and Python, with Python mainly living in the ML-heavy sections.
Further develop our tests and benchmarks, both at the micro and macro level. We operate in a domain where robustness is of the utmost importance, and an extensive and ever-improving test suite is key to achieving that. And without thorough benchmarks, we would be flying blind.
Present your work at our weekly demo sessions. We want engineers to come together around what they are working on and to feel like they are not endlessly squirrelling away at something that doesn’t matter. The group’s work centres around the interface between games and graphics hardware. Our job is to create a development environment – and to a degree hardware – for game teams, middleware providers, and our own platform teams. We enable other to create compelling games and technologies, so that our players get the most out of investing in our platform. When a developer implements a path-tracer, they will be using our APIs to program the GPU and build their BVH structures, our compiler to create shader microcode and our tools to debug and profile.

The Role
You will be expected to develop innovative ML solutions for deployment in games and in the development pipeline. This also involves making technology choices, prototype solutions and bringing them to production.
Some of these systems are expected to run on millions of PlayStations in people’s homes, making high run-time performance crucial. You should stay up to date with the competition and the industry’s latest advances and academic developments. The role also involves close collaboration with our other teams in Europe, the U.S and Japan, as well as technical communication of the ideas and solutions developed.
The Essential Requirements
• Experience with modern Deep Learning and Pytorch: You will be expected to make decisions about data and architectures, to implement pipelines for training and validation and to develop and deploy models in production.
• Experience with production-facing software development and strong debugging skills. This also requires demonstrating applied engineering skills through a shipped ML network or personal project.
• Understanding of 3D maths/geometry: Including multiple-view geometry and 3D mesh representations.

We are seeking a hardcore Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Engineer to own the execution and reality-check of our true System of Systems (SoS) architecture. If our “Left-Side” Systems Engineers are the architects, you are the Chief Engineer of Reality. You own the entire Systems V for a given problem set, but your anchor is firmly planted on the "Right Side." You are not a compliance checker, a QA tester, or someone who lives entirely in spreadsheets or JAMA. You are the forcing function that brings disjointed software, hardware, and autonomy subsystems together into a singular, field-ready, system of systems capability.
Your mission is to build a "steel thread" for any given capability, the fastest path to getting a baseline, end-to-end system working in the real world, ensure it is validated for the customer’s use case, and then relentlessly iterate to make it robust. You will partner tightly with TPMs, Software Engineers (SWEs), and "Left-Side" SEs to take paper architectures and smash them into rigorous mathematical and physical reality. When the software team blames the hardware team, you are the one who steps into the SITL/HITL lab or the field, parses the logs, puts a scope on the wire, diagnoses the root cause, and drives the solution. The Hardware team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) creates high performance compute engines using FPGA and ASIC technology to drive low latency trading decisions on global markets. The Systems Development team builds and maintains the platform that is shared by all Systems teams to provision, monitor, and manage HRT’s server and network infrastructure.
