We are seeking a Payload Operations Engineer responsible for operating AST satellite payload subsystems to support constellation service and in-orbit testing. This is primarily a day-staff shift position at the AST Satellite Operations Centers (SOCs), with occasional weekend, holiday, and on-call support to provide 24x7 payload operations.
Payload Operations & Monitoring
Operate payload tools to create configuration items required for in-orbit testing (IOT) and commercial service.
Monitor service/test automation and analyze results through telemetry and log evaluation.
Coordinate payload system configuration changes to maintain commercial service levels.
Monitor and process payload subsystem telemetry data to ensure subsystem health, including power, thermal, and RF performance.
Maintain situational awareness of satellite, payload, and ground configuration and status.
Tool & Software Support
Support development of payload operations tools for efficient automated tasks.
Work with tool developers for functionality updates and payload software updates.
Operate SOC operations software tools.
Support development of automated operations tools.
Coordination & Troubleshooting
Coordinate troubleshooting with SOC, Network Operations Center (NOC), and subsystem engineers to resolve service issues.
Participate in daily shift handover briefings.
Support mission product development including procedure development, testing, and validation.
Support system readiness, planning, and preparation for satellite in-orbit milestones.
Attend required training sessions, simulations, rehearsals, conferences, and program reviews.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM field).
Experience:
A minimum of 0–2 years (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree or additional experience preferred.
Technical understanding of satellite system architecture and subsystem functionality.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in an evolving system environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with satellite communication payloads.
Multi-satellite LEO constellation experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive requirements for concepts of operation.
Familiarity with version control software (preferably Git) and Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).
Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, Python, Matlab, or C#.
Soft Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High level of problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving system requirements.
Technology Stack:
SOC operations software tools.
Payload automation and telemetry analysis tools.

Platform Science is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Core Product Development team in Chennai. This is a vital role for an engineer who is passionate about building robust automated test suites that ensure the reliability of our mission-critical IoT solutions. In this position, you will lead QA test automation efforts for Java, C#, and enterprise applications using the Selenium framework, directly impacting the speed and quality of our software delivery. You will report to the QA Manager and work daily, onsite at our Chennai office.
Strategy & Planning: Review functional and technical requirements to provide critical input on testing scope; prepare comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases that align with product goals.
Automation Execution: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks (Selenium, BDD) to perform smoke, functional, and regression testing across software products.
Integration & CI/CD: Collaborate with Development and Release Engineering teams to capture and reuse automated suites, ensuring seamless builds and deployments on QA, release, and production servers.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs in defect tracking tools with detailed descriptions and scenarios, while providing project test status, estimates, and metrics.
Process Optimization: Constantly interact with cross-functional teams to implement methods that result in faster, more efficient, and reliable QA cycles.
Required Experience
2-4 years of professional QA/Software Testing experience.
Solid understanding of QA processes and methodologies within the software development lifecycle.
Proven experience in Test Automation of Java, C#, and JavaScript applications.
Hands-on proficiency with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium and BDD.
Experience in using Agile development and testing methodologies.
Demonstrated experience with API and Performance testing.
Nice to Have
Experience with TestRail or similar testing management tools.
Experience testing Android applications.
Familiarity with IoT or transportation-related technology.
Analytical Thinker: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on tracing results back to specific quality risks promptly.
Collaborative Communicator: Ability to work effectively in a small team and maintain constant interaction with other departments to ensure speed.
Self-Starter: A strong team player who can also work independently, take ownership of projects, and meet targets.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $90,000-$105,000 annually.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.

Your Role:
Lead the design and development of complex, high-performance, backend services within the Tenable One ecosystem, ensuring modularity and long-term maintainability.
Own the end-to-end performance of critical platform components, optimizing for massive data ingestion and low-latency processing across global environments.
Drive architectural discussions and provide high-level input on system design, steering the team toward scalable, cloud-native best practices.

What You’ll Need:
BSc in Computer Science or a related degree from a recognized institution, or a strong track record in server-side development with advanced technical skills.
5+ years of experience in software engineering with a demonstrated ability to work on large-scale projects and solve complex technical problems.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, Java, Go, C#, or equivalent, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
Strong expertise with distributed systems, cloud-native architecture (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices), and APIs.
Hands-on experience with high-throughput date stores and messaging systems (e.g., Snowflake, PostgresSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka or Redis).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of best practices for deploying and maintaining cloud-based services.
Strong problem-solving skills, with experience debugging and resolving production issues in complex systems.
A proactive approach to task prioritization and a history of leading technical initiatives from conception to deployment with minimal supervision.
Prior experience working in the cybersecurity industry or working with security-centric data pipelines and protocols is advantage.
Bonus: Experience or familiarity with moden frontend frameworks and an understanding of how frontend applications consume and state-manage complex backend data.

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Developer Tools Team within the Database Experience department. The team is responsible for tools which allow users to interact with their data and to understand the health and performance of their MongoDB deployments.
