We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will work to ensure the availability of Onapsis Security Products. The SRE will be directly accountable for monitoring, inspecting, troubleshooting, and resolving service and product issues while continuously working with engineering partners to improve telemetry and automation.

As a member of the global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on the shared full-stack ownership, you’ll understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. 

This role will spend significant time doing "ops" related work such as production issues and service on-call. When not working on operations, you will work on software engineering tasks such as designing and developing systems that increase our reliability and scalability and reduce operational overhead through automation. The ideal SRE candidate is a proficient programmer who has a considerable breadth of knowledge and experience, including areas such as networking, internet protocols, and Linux systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience, including DevOps, Software Engineering Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), and on-call rotations, working on highly scalable distributed systems  
• 1+ years of programming experience writing code in OOP like Java/Python or Shell scripting

Verifone is seeking a Kafka DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This is an operations-first role with a strong emphasis on scripting, automation, and pipeline development. You’ll be hands-on with day-to-day Kafka operations, reliability, tuning, and high availability for payment gateway solutions that process billions of transactions annually on-prem and in AWS Cloud. Key Responsibilities

Kafka Operations & Reliability

• Manage and support Apache Kafka clusters (including MSK), Kafka Connect ecosystem, and KSQL for high-throughput, fault-tolerant messaging and event streaming pipelines.
• Monitor system health, set up alerts, and drive incident response and root cause analysis (RCA).

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring that database management policies, processes and procedures are established and followed, adhering to ITIL good practice principles and are subjected to continuous improvement as per PCI standards. Our partner’s Network Cloud solution uniquely supports the complete virtualization of network and compute resources, enabling communication service providers and cloud providers to meet increasing service demands much more efficiently than with today’s monolithic routers.  

Their software runs over standard white-box hardware and can easily scale network capacity by adding additional white boxes into physical network clusters. This unique disaggregated network model enables the physical infrastructure to operate as a shared resource that supports multiple networks and services. This unique network design also allows faster service innovation at the network edge, supporting multiple service payloads, including latency-sensitive ones, over a single physical network edge. 

Overall Objective of the Role

Our engineering team is seeking a skilled Network Test Automation Developer to build and maintain automated testing solutions for our large-scale network orchestration platform. This system manages critical infrastructure for one of the world’s largest ISP, integrating multi-vendor routing environments with advanced traffic tools like IXIA.

Responsibilities

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Python (Pytest or similar frameworks).
• Multi-Vendor Networking: Develop Python-based abstractions to test across different Network Operating Systems (e.g., IOS-XR, Junos) using CLI, NETCONF, and APIs.
• Infrastructure as Code: Validate and test infrastructure-as-code workflows used to provision and manage multi-vendor network devices.
• Network & Traffic Validation: Automate validation of network behaviour, performance, and protocol stability (throughput, latency, convergence, etc.).
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions and Jenkins) to ensure continuous quality of the orchestration platform.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Python:Strong proficiency in Python, including OOP principles and networking libraries.
• APIs & Data Models: Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats/models such as JSON, YAML, or YANG.
• Core Networking Knowledge:Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or SaltStack.
• Tooling: Familiarity with Linux environments and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Available to synchronize with East Coast USA until approximately 6PM Romania time.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ansible: playbooks, roles, or custom modules.
• CI/CD integration: Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IXIA or other traffic generators, or recognizing how to automate high-scale traffic generators for validating throughput, latency, and protocol stability.
• Advanced Networking Knowledge: A solid understanding of networking principles and protocols is considered a significant advantage.
