Role expectations:

Front-end:

• Develop great front-end features, rich in interactions, scalable and maintainable, using ReactJS, Angular or VueJS;

About the Role: 

We are seeking a technically strong, hands-on Senior Database Reliability Engineer to help design, build, and scale the database platform used across Sezzle’s applications.

This is not a traditional DBA role. This role is for an engineer who can combine deep database knowledge with software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and platform thinking. You will help build the systems, libraries, automation, standards, and guardrails that make database usage across Sezzle reliable, secure, scalable, and easy for developers to adopt correctly.

As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for improving how Sezzle applications connect to, migrate, operate, observe, and scale their databases. Sezzle is growing; our data generation and consumption is growing with us at an increasing scale. Data is extremely valuable, and we want to empower the business, the engineers, and the rest of the organization to be able to read, write, and analyze large volumes of it quickly and efficiently.

Sezzle is a heavy consumer of MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift, leveraging AWS tooling with Aurora RDS and DMS. We use DBT-based transformations and similar toolkits to populate a rapidly growing data lake that supports multiple data warehouses. It’s scaled well with us so far, and we’re looking to continue improving it, but we also want to step into new tooling and technologies.

What you’ll do: 

• End to end ownership of our database and data warehousing infrastructure, its KPIs and its SLAs, including MySQL, Postgres, CDC capture, and Redshift.
• Lead optimizations in database and query performance.
• ​​Build and maintain tooling to help manage and upgrade our data infrastructure, continually improving with migrations and optimizations.
• Partner with Development to ensure we ship solid queries against a battle-tested schema to meet the needs of our products and business.

About the Role:

The Marketing Analyst - Comms, will sit at the intersection of data, CRM strategy, and AI-driven efficiency. We’re looking for an execution-oriented person who owns their work from end-to-end. You'll dive into the details of how our campaigns operate across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels, spot friction and inefficiency, and design smarter ways forward. You'll spend most of your time inside Braze, Sezzle's primary consumer-focused CRM and marketing automation platform, building and analyzing campaigns across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels. You'll dig into performance data to identify what's working, surface gaps in our consumer journeys, and develop new comms to fill them. You'll also look for every opportunity to apply AI tools to make the team's output faster, sharper, and more scalable.

What You'll Do:

• CRM Campaign Execution & Analysis

  • Build, launch, and iterate on campaigns and canvases in Braze across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels.

  • Audit existing consumer journeys to identify engagement gaps, drop-off points, and missed messaging opportunities.

  • Develop segmentation strategies and personalized comms that improve activation, engagement, and retention.

  • Support A/B test design, execution, and readout — translating results into clear, actionable recommendations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to our Fraud & Prevention team in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil. 

Our team is responsible for identifying, preventing, and removing fraudulent actors from Wellhub. We work closely with all teams inside Wellhub to identify potential fraud vectors and the actions to take in order to prevent and/or remove those fraudulent actors.

• Collaborate with a cross functional team spanning operation, product management, and engineering to build new technologies and features;
• Build production systems that prevent fraud from happening;
• Help to prototype, implement and productionize new anti fraud solutions at scale;
• Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
• Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure developers are proud of their work;
• Apply development best practices;
• Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment;
• Take ownership of critical features, be accountable, and possess a high level of ownership by following up on engineering SLOs and product KPIs;

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;

• Experience in developing RESTful web services;
• Experience with Java or Kotlin;
• Nice to have experience with Golang;
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB), understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;
• Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers (such as KAFKA, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, etc.) understanding of their use cases and pitfalls:
• Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
• Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems;
• Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS experience is nice to have);
• A true team player who loves working towards both team and individual goals with years of experience in web development.Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese.
