About the Role

As a Staff IT Engineer - Service Management, you will own and evolve Nubank’s IT Service Management (ITSM) practice end to end. You’ll design and implement processes, tools, and governance that keep our internal services reliable, auditable, and efficient, enabling engineering teams to focus on high-impact work while maintaining strong operational controls in a regulated environment.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Continuing to build and own Nubank's ITSM practice, defining and implementing core ITIL v4 processes: incident, problem, change, service request, and knowledge management.
• Establishing a service catalog with clearly defined SLAs and OLAs aligned with internal stakeholder expectations.
• Owning the end-to-end ITSM toolchain (Jira Service Management or equivalent): configuration, workflow design, form logic, SLA rules, and integrations with adjacent systems.
• Identifying and closing automation gaps — routing, escalation, notifications, and reporting — partnering with engineering teams to reduce manual toil across operations.
• Defining and tracking operational KPIs (MTTR, SLA compliance, first-contact resolution, change success rate) and building regular reporting cadences for leadership and stakeholders.
• Establishing a Change Advisory Board (CAB) with structured documentation and approval workflows.
• Supporting audit and compliance requirements with structured evidence of IT operational controls, essential in a regulated financial environment.
• Driving ITSM adoption across the organization, creating runbooks, training materials, and documentation that embed service management culture at scale.

We Are Looking For a Person Who Has

Mandatory qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IT service management, IT operations, or a related discipline.
• Deep ITIL v4 expertise; ITIL 4 Foundation or Managing Professional certification strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of building ITSM practices from scratch or significantly transforming an existing function.
• Hands-on experience owning and configuring ITSM tooling end-to-end (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent) — not just using it, but designing it.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment, with strong influence-without-authority skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to present to senior leadership.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience in fintech, high-growth tech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with adjacent frameworks: COBIT, ISO 20000, or SRE principles.
• Experience partnering with Security and/or Platform Engineering teams.
• Fluent English.

What is the role?

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for automating repetitive tasks, streamlining the software development lifecycle, and optimizing deployment processes to enable faster and more reliable software releases. Overview

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.

What You’ll Do

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
• Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
• Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus

The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term vision and strategy for the global architecture of the core credit card platform, ensuring exponential scalability and continuous evolution capability.
• Lead the strategic partnership with Product and Business leadership (C-level and VPs) to shape the medium and long-term technical roadmap and define the strategic OKRs and global impact KPIs.
• Act as a technical and cultural reference, defining the highest standards of engineering excellence, mentoring other Architects and Principal/Staff Engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Principal/Staff Engineer level experience or equivalent with an extensive and demonstrable history in architecting and scaling mission-critical, high-volume, and low-latency systems in global fintech or e-commerce environments.
• Expert proficiency (demonstrated in code and design) in multiple programming paradigms, with significant hands-on experience in functional programming (e.g., Clojure, Scala, Haskell) and reactive/event-based architectures.
• Proven ability to establish and lead the long-term technical strategy for entire platform ecosystems (not just isolated components), influencing the direction of multiple engineering groups.
• Deep and successful experience in navigating and defining the architecture in highly regulated financial environments (e.g., BACEN, FCA, SOX) and designing systems to meet data residency requirements and complex cross-border transactions.
• History of successfully leading and completing large-scale platform transformations (e.g., transition from monoliths to microservices mesh, migration of data centers or clouds), managing risks and operational impact.
• In-depth knowledge of credit card/payment systems design is a significant differential.

• Experience with Clojure or similar functional languages.
• Proven interest or experience in leveraging AI to optimize engineering workflows.

We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to design, implement, and operate our global office and data center network. In this role, you will own the connectivity and performance of Nu’s physical locations, ensuring that our offices and data centers are reliable, secure, and ready to support our next waves of growth.

Required Qualifications

• Expert proficiency (demonstrated in code and design) in multiple programming paradigms, with significant hands-on experience in functional programming (e.g., Clojure, Scala, Haskell) and reactive/event-based architectures.
• Proven ability to establish and lead the long-term technical strategy for entire platform ecosystems (not just isolated components), influencing the direction of multiple engineering groups.

About the role
We are hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help lead the architectural direction of Nubank’s Global Debt Resolution platform, operating horizontally across all business areas. The Opportunity:

This position is for an Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Investments Business Unit.

Investments Platforms is responsible for the core platforms that model Nubank’s investments business: custody, offer, order management, accounts, settlement and related domains. These platforms are the long‑term home for our investments capabilities and the main path to move away from legacy Invest systems that still handle a large portion of critical flows today. Your mandate is to help design, evolve and execute this environment and comply with regulatory requirements.

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years working on large‑scale platforms or core systems in highly available, transactional environments (finance, payments, core banking, trading, etc.).

• Proven track record building and operating business platforms that are extensible, multi‑tenant and domain‑agnostic – e.g., custody, payments, banking, risk or similar – with clear contracts for consuming teams.

• Experience leading strategic migrations from legacy to new architectures: co‑existence patterns, strangler approaches, staged rollouts and data migration strategies that keep systems up while flows move off legacy.

• Strong foundation in distributed systems and event‑driven architectures: domain modeling, consistency and resiliency strategies, backpressure, observability, SLIs/SLOs and incident learning loops.

• Demonstrated platform engineering leadership at scale: defining reference architectures and RFCs, building reusable libraries and tools, setting platform SLAs, and making adoption low‑friction and high‑quality for internal customers.

• Comfortable working as a horizontal leader across stakeholders: aligning GMs, PMs, EMs and Staff/Principals on trade‑offs between speed, risk, platform consistency and product goals.

• Investments expertise: hands‑on experience with investments platforms (brokerage, custody, order management, funds, fixed income, equities, settlement, risk) and understanding of the Brazilian capital markets landscape.

• Platform background: prior work on other platforms (payments, core banking, investments) that shows you can design high‑abstraction, agnostic, extensible platforms and translate complex domains into clean boundaries and APIs.

• AI fluency: you are already experimenting with AI in your engineering practice (design exploration, code generation/review, analysis, automation) and are excited to help Nubank push its AI‑first agenda in a pragmatic, safe way.

• Language: Portuguese fluency is important; English is a plus rather than a hard requirement. We are open to strong IC8 candidates who can ramp up their English over time, and will trade off language in favor of outstanding technical and leadership fit where it makes sense.

No seu dia a dia, você vai:

• Estruturar a plataforma seguindo princípios de Data Mesh, definindo como domínios de negócio terão autonomia sobre seus dados enquanto mantêm padrões e governança consistentes.
• Criar estruturas na plataformas, templates, blueprints que permitem e habilitam data domains
• Automatizam políticas de qualidade, segurança, acesso e compliance
