We are looking for a Football Trader to join our team. The Trader will be responsible for the life-cycle of odds: from pre-match creation to in-play trading. This will involve ownership of designated competitions, pricing of in-house markets, management of markets, trading live matches, and risk management across our platform. This role combines data analysis, market awareness, and real-time decision-making to optimise trading performance and manage financial exposure.

The successful candidate should have a hunger to drive our betting offer forward coupled with a data driven approach. They should have a strong knowledge of football, sports betting markets and statistical analysis, with the ability to react quickly in fast-paced live environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Set up, price and manage a range of football markets across domestic and international competitions for both Pre Match and In Play
• Compile odds for a range of player and stats-based markets that include Shots, Fouls, Tackles, and Offsides
• Monitor and adjust odds based on market activity, team news and liabilities whilst assessing and reacting to sharp betting patterns
• Manage a diverse range of in-play football markets during live matches using the in-house soccer model - Corners, Cards, Stats and Player markets
• Ensure markets remain competitive while maintaining profitable margins
• Monitor trading tools and feeds to maintain accurate and timely market updates
• Active collaboration with Risk teams when necessary
• Conduct analyses of the markets and competitions you are responsible for - betting trends, customer behaviour, and market performance
• Work closely with quantitative analysts, product teams, and risk teams to improve trading models, tooling and platform functionality

What we are looking for:

• Strong knowledge and passion for football, including major leagues and competitions
• Experience in sportsbook trading and betting operations
• Ability to make fast, accurate decisions under pressure
• Solid understanding of probability, odds calculation, and betting markets
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets and trading platforms; knowledge of Python/R is a plus
• Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and major football events

Desirable Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• Previous experience with in-play trading systems or automated trading tools
• Knowledge of multiple sports betting markets (Totals, Player Props, Stats markets etc.)

What You Will Do

As a Data Engineer in our GenAI practice, you will own the end-to-end execution of complex technical challenges. You won't just "move" data; you will build the specialized infrastructure and data flywheels that power the next generation of Generative AI, RAG systems, and autonomous agents.

• Deploy GenAI-Ready Production Pipelines: Design and deploy advanced data pipelines both batch and streaming optimized for processing unstructured data (text, images, audio) to fuel LLM fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Build Scalable AI Platforms & Vector DBs: Hands-on development using modern cloud platforms like Databricks, Azure, or AWS.
• Establish Engineering Excellence for LLMs: Implement best practices in data transformation (dbt), orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster), and data governance to ensure that AI solutions are reliable, safe, and compliant at enterprise scale.

Who You Are

• Experienced Professional: At least 3-5 years of industry experience in data engineering, ideally within a consulting environment, with exposure to data preparation for AI/ML.
• Deep Technical Skillset: Strong programming skills in Python and proven expertise in Spark (PySpark, SparkSQL) for large-scale data processing and feature engineering.
• Data Transformation Expert: Extensive experience with dbt for data modeling, and a strong curiosity about emerging patterns in "LLMOps" and vector data management.
• Consulting Mindset: Proven ability to navigate multidisciplinary environments and communicate how high-quality data architecture is the primary bottleneck for successful GenAI deployment.
• Education: A Master’s in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field).
• Linguistic Versatility: Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Dutch or French is a major advantage for our Belgian market.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• With a degree from a top-tier business or engineering school, you have at least 5 years of experience in product management, gained within a tech company, an agency, and/or a consulting firm.
• Knowledge of ecommerce payments and acceptance gateways is a must.
• You have a proven track record in discovering and building end-to-end products, preferably for mobile and web applications.
• You possess well-informed opinions on product methodologies (e.g., Jobs-to-be-Done, Customer Personas, prioritization frameworks, KANO, Lean Startup, etc.) and agile delivery methods.
• As digital products are inherently technological, you have a strong interest in technology (without necessarily being a technical expert or having a technical background).
• You have a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and constructively with engineers/developers, designers, and business leaders, to inspire and work efficiently with team members and stakeholders alike.
• You are skilled at tackling complex problems and presenting logical, data-driven, and structured recommendations.
• You are well-versed in the banking and financial services sector, including competitive landscape, regulations, and market trends.
