You’ll bring to the role a passion for delivering a seamless and engaging employee experience through operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HR professional with hands-on HRIS experience and a strong understanding of core HR processes. In this role, you will support key People Operations programs across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Manage HRIS transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, promotions, compensation updates, and offboarding
Support the administration of company benefits programs, including new hire enrollment and qualifying life event changes
Ensure new hires are enrolled in required training plans; support rollout, tracking, and reporting of annual compliance training
Assist in administering performance review cycles, including assessment kick-off, progress monitoring, and completion reporting
Develop proficiency and become a subject-matter expert in HR systems, processes, and communication platforms
Support payroll processing by verifying data accuracy and compliance with internal requirements
Maintain and update process documentation and refresh HR content on the company Intranet
Utilize Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Slides, and basic Sheets) to support daily operations and reporting
3–5 years of HR Operations experience with hands-on HRIS work
Experience supporting a range of People Operations projects and initiatives
Service-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Bachelor’s degree

The Department: Enterprise Infrastructure
Within Operations, the Enterprise Infrastructure team owns the internal technology ecosystem that supports Gemini's offices and employees. The team operates as a unified engineering and service organization, combining front-line support excellence with DevOps-driven platform engineering under a single mandate.
Our enterprise technology strategy fuels business growth through an engineering-first approach by delivering a modern, secure, and scalable foundation for seamless collaboration, efficient operations, and future-ready innovation. By emphasizing operational excellence, continuous improvement of existing systems, and strategic automation – including Infrastructure as Code, GitOps workflows, and AI-augmented operations – we position IT as an engineering discipline whose impact extends across the department and the broader organization.
The Role: Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer
As a Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and force multiplier across the full breadth of Enterprise Infrastructure – from end-user support excellence to backend platform engineering and automation.
You will apply DevOps methodologies to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the systems that underpin Gemini's global workforce. This includes owning strategies and execution for endpoint management, user identity and access lifecycle, internal tooling, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-augmented operational workflows. You will define and track key metrics, communicate trends and capacity insights to leadership, and make strategic decisions about tooling adoption, vendor relationships, and architectural direction with an awareness of how these decisions impact teams and stakeholders beyond Enterprise Infrastructure.
A core expectation of this role is that you approach problems with an eye toward scalability and sustainability, building systems that reduce manual toil, improve reliability, and position the team for rapid growth. You are expected to critically evaluate existing systems and processes, challenging assumptions, identifying inefficiencies, and driving improvements to legacy workflows with the same rigor applied to new builds. You will act as a mentor and escalation point for others, fostering a culture of engineering rigor within support operations and a culture of user empathy within engineering work.
The ideal candidate has deep experience across both operational support and DevOps-driven infrastructure, thrives in ambiguity, and is energized by the challenge of consolidating legacy tooling into modern, automated, GitOps-driven workflows. They bring a pragmatic approach to adopting emerging capabilities – including agentic AI – and are motivated by building solutions that scale beyond their immediate team to benefit the broader organization.

Data Driven Product Development
Define and analyze the specific behavioral metrics that prove AI-generated insights are driving business impact. You will prioritize the Rocket Copilot roadmap by balancing "mature judgment" with hard data, focusing on features that don't just deliver data, but measurably increase user session frequency and reduce churn. You must be able to draw a straight line between an AI-driven product decision and its direct implication on recurring revenue and LTV.
Product-Led Growth Strategy
Lead the strategy and execution for Rocket Copilot by identifying "magic moments" where AI can proactively surface value to a user. You will use a mix of quantitative data and qualitative customer empathy to ensure our AI portfolio isn't just a collection of features, but a cohesive engine that guides users from their first "Aha!" moment to long-term, habitual usage. You will act as the "Voice of the Customer" to ensure AI outputs are tailored to solve the specific friction points uncovered in your research.

Fellowship for Founding School Leaders - Arizona
BES seeks a Fellow for our Fellowship program starting in August 2026 to serve as a founding school leader in Arizona to design and found a new public charter school rooted in character and equity. This BES Fellowship offers highly motivated leaders committed to transforming education the rigorous, multi-year training needed to design, found, and lead a high-achieving school that meets the unique needs of its community.
BES welcomes applicants from any Arizona region favorable for new public charter schools and aligned with authorizer priorities, with particular interest in leaders aiming to found schools in the metropolitan Phoenix area.

What You’ll Do
The BES Fellowship for founding school leaders includes one year of training followed by three years of Follow On Support to support leaders in building a high-performing, locally responsive school. Arizona leaders will serve as Character and Equity Fellows in the Build Track: This is a version of our “traditional” four-year Build Track where Fellows found a school with character and equity at the core of its model, in addition to other locally responsive elements. Fellows in Arizona begin with an intensive training year, where they engage in over 300 hours of coursework on school design, leadership, governance, and community engagement, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion. Fellows also conduct in-depth studies of effective schools across the nation and complete residencies at high-performing schools, all while developing a charter application and establishing a founding board. Fellows in Arizona also engage in additional opportunities to inform how character and equity will be core to the school model.
In year two, the planning year, Fellows partner with a BES coach to refine their project management and leadership skills, hire founding staff, recruit students, and solidify their school vision. This dedicated coaching and cohort-based training, known as Follow On Support, helps Fellows bridge the transition from founder to school leader, preparing them to launch a strong, sustainable school. During years three and four, the first two operational years, leaders put their vision into action, welcoming their inaugural class, coaching teachers, and using data to drive academic success. By the second year of operation, they deepen the academic focus, serving a growing population of students, and build leadership capacity to support future growth, all while fostering an empowered, mission-aligned team. In year three of operation and beyond, BES Fellow-founded schools can opt-in to other leadership and professional development opportunities from BES to support their school and strengthen their leadership bench.

The BES Fellowship training year runs from August 2026 through July 2027, during which time BES Fellows will receive disbursements from their $100,000 grant. While grant disbursements will end in July 2027, the authorization process in certain regions can sometimes extend beyond that time. BES Fellows will continue to receive coaching and guidance from BES through this phase to help them navigate the entirety of the authorization process. In addition, BES will work with Fellows affected by this timeline to identify additional funding opportunities for Fellows, wherever possible.
