About your role

We are seeking an exceptional product manager:

Your role will be to build the product to deliver a marketplace for on-demand legal services, connecting legal pros with potential customers, much like the revolutionary Uber/Lyft taxi business model, but for legal solutions, aiming to disrupt the legal industry.

Using your product, US customers will submit details of their legal situations and request legal answers, consultations, and services from Legal Pros, which your product will fulfill in near real time and at scale: 

Your systems will connect a customer with a qualified Legal Pro, facilitate their interactions, schedule consultations, manage legal service workflows, and ensure Legal Pros are paid. It will also manage reconciliations and store an auditable log of every legal action. This product will then be released at scale, first in the US and then internationally in a bid to revolutionize the legal industry. Think Uber, but for Law!

As our talented product manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of Legal Pro fulfillment systems, working closely with your stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams to identify the best architectural path forward to meet the complex and revolutionary business requirements that underpin this product. You will ensure that Rocket Lawyer builds the right product and builds the product right. This includes defining KPIs to measure the success of your product, conducting product discovery to ensure you mitigate the risks of value, viability, feasibility, and usability with your product trio team, including a Tech Lead and UX Designer, and then producing detailed requirements and ensuring we release on time to hit our planned delivery dates. 

How you will make a difference day to day

You will be an ambitious Product Manager based in the US, with at least five years of experience and a proven track record of scaling SLA-timeframe driven fulfillment systems for products or services associated with a known brand. 

You will be an effective collaborator, able to talk shop with business leaders, engineers, UX designers, operational specialists, partners, and customer-facing product managers. You will be able to answer any questions using data-driven insights and by representing the needs of the customers, Pros, and the business. 

Underpinning this, you must demonstrate that you are driven and passionate about our mission to “make the law simple and affordable for all.”

• You coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure they are collaborating effectively. As such, you track changes to delivery dates and any potential risks, assumptions, issues, or dependencies that may impact your project timeline, inform your stakeholders, and work to unblock them before they affect the business. 
• You are skilled at providing updates to stakeholders within your business unit and the wider executive team, succinctly covering the scope of product releases, sprint commitments, risks, blockers, and due dates. As a result, your stakeholders are aligned with your plans.
• You instrument your product with events to capture metrics, then monitor and report on KPIs, which showcase the health and performance of your systems. 
• You propose products, features, and optimizations based on data-driven insights and cost-benefit analysis, to get future releases approved by your stakeholders using succinct and well-evidenced arguments. 
• You can work effectively with customer-facing product teams, internal stakeholders, and designers to consult on how customer and employee UX should look and function to achieve your targets. 
• You have experience in developing successful relationships with third-party partners to integrate their systems, including appraising the benefits of their latest features.
• You excel at working with engineers to ensure they design systems that avoid technical debt and prevent reliance on any specific vendor, region, or customer use case.

How you will make a difference day to day

• Transcript Analysis: Review anonymized chat logs to identify where Rocket Copilot "hallucinates" or where users feel frustrated by legal complexity.
• Research Design: Work with product, design, data, legal, and engineering teams to establish user-value focused research questions to assess user value and value gaps in our products.
• User Research Support: Help coordinate and take notes during usability sessions where real users interact with our AI agents.
• Quality Audit: Maintain a "Library of Truth"—documenting the best-performing conversational patterns to be reused across the platform.
• Outcome focused: Focusing on producing insights on which conversations lead to conversion and engagement
• Prompt Testing: Run "A/B tests" on different AI prompts to see which version provides the most helpful, legally safe, and engaging response.
• Style Guide/ Rubric: Based on your insights during this internship, create a style guide on voice and tone to which users respond better

What you’ll need

• Recent Grad: Research focused Masters degree in Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a similar field.
• Analytical Curiosity: You love digging into data to find the "Why" behind a user's behavior.
• Writing Skills: You can take a 10-sentence text and turn it into a 2-sentence conversational response without losing the meaning.
• Research Background: You have undertaken previous research projects in different areas. Cataloging experience is a plus.
• Some familiarity with LLMs (like Gemini) and a desire to learn professional tools
• Mission-Aligned: You believe that everyone, regardless of their bank account, should have access to legal protection
• Language/ Translation Skills: You can understand the nuances in analyzing the style, tone and language used by Copilot, and identify where users respond positively.

Create Insight-to-Action Product Experiences

You must have a proven track record of translating complex data and AI-generated outputs into intuitive, actionable product capabilities and experiences. These products don’t just display data; they are surfacing insights and workflows that prompt users to take the next best action, directly increasing product stickiness and daily utility.

Drive Engagement-Centric Roadmap Strategy

Drive the product roadmap by identifying opportunities where AI can proactively solve user pain points. You will prioritize features based on their ability to drive retention-focused metrics (e.g., reducing time-to-value, increasing session frequency) rather than technical novelty.

Develop AI-Powered UX Benchmarking

Continuously monitor the SaaS landscape to identify emerging patterns in AI-driven engagement. You should have a pulse on how top-tier products use personalized insights, automated summaries, and proactive nudges to create habit-forming experiences that differentiate the product from traditional, static competitors.

Data Driven Product Development

Define and analyze the specific behavioral metrics that prove AI-generated insights are driving business impact. You will prioritize the Rocket Copilot roadmap by balancing "mature judgment" with hard data, focusing on features that don't just deliver data, but measurably increase user session frequency and reduce churn. You must be able to draw a straight line between an AI-driven product decision and its direct implication on recurring revenue and LTV.

Product-Led Growth Strategy

Lead the strategy and execution for Rocket Copilot by identifying "magic moments" where AI can proactively surface value to a user. You will use a mix of quantitative data and qualitative customer empathy to ensure our AI portfolio isn't just a collection of features, but a cohesive engine that guides users from their first "Aha!" moment to long-term, habitual usage. You will act as the "Voice of the Customer" to ensure AI outputs are tailored to solve the specific friction points uncovered in your research.

What you’ll need

• 8-10 years of software Product Development experience ideally with B2B or B2C SaaS products.
• At least 4 years focused on how to optimize AI-driven user engagement
• Ability to combine a strong product sense with business acumen to deliver positive outcomes to customers and the business

About your role

The Senior Vice President of Product is the strategic and operational leader responsible for defining our product vision, accelerating market adoption, and delivering exceptional business performance. This role will help drive the transition of our trusted legacy platform to our next-generation AI experiences, ensuring a modern, intuitive UX for our entire ecosystem - from the SMBs and families Rocket Lawyer serves to the legal professionals who support them.

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in PLG, and subscription-based / marketplace business models across both consumer and SMB markets. The candidate must have a proven ability to leverage customer insights to create compelling experiences that accelerate user acquisition, upsell, and long-term retention. This leader will be instrumental in bringing clarity, cohesion, and disciplined execution to a fast-moving, cross-functional organization.

1. Strategic Vision & Execution

• Define, articulate, and relentlessly champion an ambitious, long-term product strategy.
• Leverage the Product Operating Model to deliver a product roadmap focused on innovative, AI-led experiences that drive value across the entire product lifecycle while simultaneously optimizing the current platform.
• Lead the harmonization of legacy platform features and new AI-driven products into a single, intuitive, customer experience.
• Build partner facing solutions that support new member acquisition.

2. Growth & Business Performance

• Own the Product-Led Growth (PLG) experiences designed to engage, upsell, and retain all customer segments.

• Partner closely with Growth, Operations, and Finance on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies to maximize new member growth, retention, and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).

• Oversee product migrations, transitions, and adoption strategies to minimize friction and maximize customer value realization.

3. Leadership & Customer Focus

• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Product organization, including Product Managers, Design, and Product Operations.
• Create strong alignment across Product, Engineering, Data, Growth, and Operations to ensure coordinated, high-velocity execution.
• Serve as a senior executive voice across the company, influencing strategy and effectively representing the product direction to internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct qualitative and quantitative UX research and customer surveys to ground all product experience decisions in a deep understanding of customer needs, barriers, and motivations.

What you’ll need

• 15+ years of progressive product management experience, including 8+ years in executive leadership roles, with at least 5 years leading product teams through large-scale transformation.
• Demonstrated success in driving strategy, adoption, and performance within high-growth, subscription-based businesses (Consumer and SMB).
• Proven track record of delivering measurable, material growth in customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
• Extensive experience managing product portfolios that include both established, legacy systems and new platform innovations.
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled products, data-driven decision-making, and modern product development practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities at the executive level.
• Deep business acumen with the ability to connect customer needs, product capabilities, and financial outcomes.
