You'll play a key role in helping hiring teams attract and hire strong talent across multiple countries in the region, while creating a positive and consistent experience for candidates throughout the process.
In this role, you'll manage full lifecycle recruiting, shape sourcing strategies using market insights, and work closely with hiring managers and cross-functional partners to keep searches moving with clarity and focus. You'll work in an all-remote, globally distributed environment where asynchronous communication, documentation, and accountability are part of how we operate every day. The team values clear hiring processes, practical use of data, and strong partnership with internal stakeholders and external agencies so we can hire effectively across different countries and talent markets. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys ownership, regional complexity, and the opportunity to help shape hiring outcomes in a growing business.

An overview of this role
As a Staff Engineer on GitLab's Software Composition Analysis team, you'll drive hands-on implementation of security features that help customers understand and manage risks in their software supply chain. Your focus will be on enhancing GitLab's SCA capabilities in dependency scanning and container scanning. You'll work directly on architecture and technical implementation and help the team push forward on three core goals: Gather (introducing data points that help customers understand the urgency of issues, like reachability analysis and supply chain poisoning detection), Integrate (providing other teams with innovative collection techniques for better workflows), and Optimize (solving data correlation at massive scale). You'll contribute hands-on code, help solve novel technical challenges, and establish patterns that improve how the distributed team works together across multiple time zones.
Examples of some future features that you may help build:
- Dependency scanning for unmanaged C/C++
- Dependency Scanning for Yocto environments
- Vulnerability detection using CPE-based matching against package metadata

As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer at GitLab, you will work at the intersection of customer outcomes, product direction, and hands-on engineering. This role is focused on strategic accounts in the APJ region, where you will help customers adopt GitLab and the GitLab Duo Agent Platform in complex enterprise environments, including self-managed, regulated, and constrained deployments. You will guide deep technical discovery, design practical adoption paths, and build reusable solutions that help customers move from early platform use into broader CI/CD, security, compliance, and AI-enabled workflows.
This is not a traditional consulting role centered on one-off delivery. Instead, you will use customer issues to create durable technical assets, shape architecture patterns, and influence upstream product and engineering decisions when field needs point to a broader solution. Your work will help reduce time to value for strategic customers while improving how GitLab scales adoption across similar environments.
Some examples of our projects:
The Staff Forward Deployed Engineer works closely with teams across Customer Success, Solutions Architecture, product, and engineering to solve hard adoption problems in enterprise customer environments. We focus on high-leverage technical work for strategic customers, especially when standard approaches do not fully fit the environment or the adoption challenge.
We are especially valuable in situations where self-managed deployment models, security and compliance requirements, migration complexity, or AI platform adoption create barriers that standard approaches do not fully address. Success on our team comes from strong technical judgment, a bias for reuse, and the ability to balance immediate customer needs with long-term platform impact.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. As a Senior Engineer on the Runway team, you'll lead the design, evolution, and operation of the Kubernetes-based platform and developer tooling that powers GitLab's engineering organization. You'll drive strategic infrastructure initiatives across platform architecture, automation, and developer experience. That includes operating production Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments, scaling our ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows, and setting infrastructure-as-code practices and standards across teams. You'll mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and drive platform improvements that enhance reliability, observability, and security controls like RBAC and secrets management. Your work will establish clear patterns that make it easier for application teams to adopt modern practices and ship with confidence.
Some examples of our projects:
The Runway team builds and operates the Kubernetes-based platform and developer tooling that GitLab engineers use to ship changes safely and reliably. We own core platform capabilities like production cluster lifecycle management, GitOps-based delivery workflows (ArgoCD), infrastructure as code foundations (Terraform modules and standards), and the reliability and observability practices that keep the platform healthy. We collaborate asynchronously with application and security partners to onboard services, improve self-service workflows, and strengthen controls like RBAC, network policies, and secrets management. The team's focus is reducing friction for developers while improving consistency, security, and operational confidence as the platform scales. For more on how this team works, see the Team Handbook Page.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you're excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application.

We are seeking a Security Manager, Application Security to drive the AppSec team at the tactical and operational level within the Security Platforms & Architecture (SPA) sub-department. The Application Security team is a key and critical stakeholder in securing GitLab’s product offerings.
In this role, you will manage and develop a team of Application Security Engineers (Intermediate through Staff) who perform security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability triage, and secure design consultations across GitLab’s product surface. Your team is the front line of Product Security: the people reading the merge requests, talking to engineers, and evaluating features’ security posture before they are released to customers.
You will operate in an environment where feature delivery and platform capabilities are accelerating, architectures and technologies are evolving, and teams are continually balancing ambitious product goals with a strong security posture. In this context, you will help Product Security:
Application Security Engineers are part of our Security Platforms & Architecture team, which protects GitLab’s platform and products by identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating security risks across the entire product lifecycle. Composed of Security Architecture, Application Security, and Security Research, we combine strategic security architecture with operational application security to enable GitLab to be the most secure software factory platform on the market.
The AppSec team operates on a set of guiding principles rooted in the leader-leader model: decisions belong where the information lives, every team member is a leader, not a task executor, and operational hygiene is non-negotiable. The manager is the primary steward of these principles.

Buildkite’s CI platform is trusted by the world’s leading engineering teams, shipping software to over 1,000,000,000 daily users.
Job Overview
We're looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Releases team. In this role, you'll help solve some of the most challenging technical problems we face as we continue to scale Buildkite's platform. You'll drive architectural decisions, lead technical strategy, and work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver impactful improvements.
Staff Engineers at Buildkite are hands-on technical leaders. You'll influence how we design, build, and scale systems while supporting other engineers to deliver their best work.
🔧 About the Team
The Releases team is building Buildkite's release control plane — a foundational layer that gives platform teams one trusted, auditable view of what shipped, where, and whether it met governance requirements.
Our initial focus is designing a canonical release model (service, environment, commit, artefact, actor, status), reliable ingestion from Pipelines and GitHub Deployments, and an immutable evidence trail that powers policy gates and DORA metrics.
Beyond that foundation, the same platform becomes a progressive delivery product: staged rollouts, canary analysis, blue/green deploys, health-based promotion, and automatic rollback. In short, we're moving from observing and governing releases to orchestrating and optimising them — integrating cleanly with existing CD systems rather than forcing a full replacement.
🚀 What You’ll Do
Own Technical Direction for the Releases Platform
Design the release architecture and core data model, including the canonical release entity and its relationships across services, environments, artefacts, and actors
Lead key technical decisions around security, reliability, and scale — particularly for the immutable evidence trail and policy gate infrastructure
Drive the hardest cross-system integrations, including ingestion from Pipelines and GitHub Deployments
Ensure the platform is extensible enough to support progressive delivery capabilities (canary analysis, staged rollouts, health-based promotion, automatic rollback) without requiring customers to replace existing CD tooling
Build and Improve the Releases Platform
Design, build, and scale tools and systems relied on by some of the best engineering teams in the world
Solve complex technical challenges around performance, reliability, and scalability
Work closely with customers and stakeholders to deeply understand their release and governance challenges, and deliver practical, high-impact solutions
Drive improvements to developer experience through better tooling, automation, and processes
Lead and Unblock
Investigate and resolve complex performance and reliability issues across the stack
Explore systems at every layer — from infrastructure patterns to backend services and data stores
Share knowledge and drive engineering best practices across teams through documentation, mentorship, and pairing
Support the wider engineering organisation by contributing to cross-team tooling, infrastructure, and frameworks
Communicate trade-offs effectively and build alignment around technical decisions
Domain Experience
Collaboration and Communication
