NEUTRON

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER – OPERATIONS SOFTWARE
As a Senior Software Engineer – Operations Software based at Rocket Lab’s site in Auckland New Zealand, you will have the opportunity create, maintain, deploy and support components, functions or services in launch vehicles and spacecraft operations. In this role you will have scope to perform independent engineering as allocated and have product ownership. SPACE SYSTEMS
Rocket Lab’s Space Systems team is responsible for every satellite and satellite component made by Rocket Lab: from complete satellites destined for missions to the Moon and Mars, to the individual components and subsystems that make up a satellite like solar panels, flight software, reaction wheels and star trackers, separation systems, radios, and more. Our Space Systems team is made up of engineers, technicians, and designers who design, create, and put together our own satellites for missions across the commercial, government, and defence sectors, or who build and assemble satellite hardware and software that supports other satellite missions.
YOUR MISSION:
Based at our Auckland Production Complex as a Senior Spacecraft Operations Engineer, you’ll take ownership of spacecraft operations across a diverse and growing fleet - from LEO constellations to deep space exploration missions. You won’t just operate spacecraft - you’ll design how they’re operated, shaping automation, software, and mission success from concept to re-entry.
You’ll collaborate with world-class engineers across propulsion, flight software, GNC, and mission design - turning ambitious ideas into reality, fast.

- Command and operate spacecraft with automation at the core
- Develop and test ground and flight software for long-term missions
- Build robust operational scripts and telemetry/FDIR configurations
- Lead validation using simulation tools (HITL, flatsat)

- Familiarity with Linux systems and software development experience, such as Python, C++, or other high-level languages
- Strong understanding of spacecraft systems (ADCS, power, comms, C&DH, thermal)
- Solid grasp of orbital mechanics, space environment, and dynamics
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-priority environments
Desirable
- Postgraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering
- Experience in spacecraft ops, satellite design, or ground systems
- Familiarity with modern dev tools (Git, CI/CD, cloud)
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing experience

The Spacecraft Operations Intern Engineer at Rocket Lab in Auckland, New Zealand, supports the Spacecraft Operations team by integrating AI tools and enhancing ground software with AI features to improve spacecraft operations. This internship offers hands-on experience across the entire spacecraft operations ecosystem, including missions ranging from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) science and service constellations to interplanetary missions. The intern will help maintain the health and safety of Rocket Lab’s growing fleet, ensuring mission objectives and service level agreements are met.
Responsibilities include supporting diverse missions—such as LEO on-orbit manufacturing, deep space missions, and constellation management—across all phases, from commissioning and orbit raising to routine operations and re-entry. The role involves close collaboration with teams in spacecraft design, assembly, integration and testing (AIT), flight software, propulsion, guidance, navigation and control (GNC), flight dynamics, and ground software development. Rocket Lab’s vertically integrated approach provides interns with exposure to a wide range of technical products and responsibilities, making this a unique opportunity to develop both spacecraft operations and software AI skills.

Overview
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. Overview
We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join us.
What You’ll Do
- Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
- Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.
- Collaborate with others on the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products.
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
- Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)
- Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Overview
The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.
This is a key role and ideal for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about making product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences that delight users.

What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
- Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients

The Role:
It’s an exciting time for Ping Identity in New Zealand. Off the back of recent growth you will be the first Sales Engineer on the ground further accelerating adoption of Ping Identity solutions in the country. With the support of an exceptional Sales Engineering team in Australia and Singapore, you will shape the face of this role.
This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills, engaging with stakeholders of various roles and levels to understand and meet their technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals.
You will also be instrumental in strengthening partner relationships across ANZ. You will work alongside a highly effective partner team on engaging and interactive customer oriented meetings, demonstrations, and proofs of concept that articulate the business and technical value customers will receive from a Ping Identity solution. You will be an active member of a team that empowers personal, team, and partner success. This role will be a key contributor to our overall sales and business development strategy as we look to continue maturing our partner network that will ensure sustained growth across the region as well as seeking to build out our partner capability in a number of other developing markets.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proof of concepts, and RfX responses.
- Act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue. Emphasis during key sales cycle phases of Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase
- Coordinate, throughout sales cycle, pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team
- Leading customer-facing meetings, both through videoconferencing and in-person to, deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their value remotely, in-person, and at industry events
- Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners.
- Mentoring, both formally and informally, junior team members
- Develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions and serve as an expert resource to other Sales Engineers within the organization
- Foster close relationships with delivery partners to support the technical sales relationship and build a mutual beneficial plan of success for delivering Ping Identity solutions.
- Support partner teams to understand and deliver enablement to drive and business goals
- Provide pre-sales technical guidance to partners, i.e., product demonstrations, proof of concept for proposed solutions, and/or technical workshops
- Able to travel 15% to 40% as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field, or 5+ years' experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training
- Deep knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM as well as experience with REST interfaces
- Deep knowledge of technologies that underly identity solutions: LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, JDBC
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and web technologies: JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, Java.
- Expertise in developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proof of concepts
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Adept at linking technical capabilities to customer needs.

Role and Responsibilities
Delivering business value by designing and developing high-quality software and systems in a highly collaborative environment. Raising the quality, and velocity of other team members.

Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager
Main activities
- Review and debug code, systems and infrastructure
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Understand and exhibit the company's core values (Values.pdf)
- Communicate progress, blockers and risks
- Develop tools and automation by producing clean, efficient code
- Maintain systems via a mix of manual and automated techniques
- Participate in on-call support of the Pushpay products, if on the on-call roster
- Review system generated events and alerts and industry sources for operational issues and security concerns
- Produce value to the business by regularly shipping robust, high quality features into the production environment
- Identify problems and risks in your own work, and that of others. Suggest improvements to design and approach
- Be aware of, and contribute to refining, the engineering "lore and custom" (aka. culture, policies, and procedures)
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Actively improve operability of systems and operational awareness of teams
- Take the initiative to identify and/or fix issues before being assigned them
- Recruit new Engineers (sales pitch, technical screens)
- Contribute to SRE Operability and Architecture Reviews with other engineering teams
- Be highly aware of the profound security and compliance ramifications of the nature of our business (specifically our PCI compliance requirements)
- Develop high-quality system design and architecture
- Break down larger pieces of work into small, well-scoped pieces for other team members
- Take end-to-end responsibility on features of increasing complexity
- Spend time making sure junior or new engineers unfamiliar with the tech or processes we have understand what they are doing and why they are doing it
- Work with Software Engineers, Quality Assistance, Product and other parts of the business to review requirements and proposed solutions and provide input into these processes (which may include ideation, algorithms, processes and feature design) which may constitute intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay
- Develop software and tooling (code, algorithms, designs, processes and practices) that will be incorporated into Pushpay products (both internal and external) and associated infrastructure which may constitute intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay

Typical experience
- 5+ years of relevant SRE, systems or software engineering experience; “relevant” being: Developing Internet-scale multi-user web/mobile/cloud type software products
