The Mission

As Lead Software Engineer – AI Quality & Test Automation, you own the strategy and execution of a modern, AI-accelerated test automation program. You build and run the platforms, frameworks, and CI quality gates that keep releases reliable at high velocity — using AI to scale test creation, maintenance, and triage across teams. You don’t retrofit testing onto AI workflows; you engineer quality into them from the ground up, ensuring every stage of an AI-assisted pipeline is observable, trustworthy, and continuously improving.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Platform & Automation Leadership

• Own the automation platform: define and build scalable frameworks, standards, and governance (services, APIs, UI) that enable teams to produce robust, consistent coverage
• Set direction for test automation tooling and AI-assisted techniques that accelerate test design, authoring, maintenance, and triage
• Lead by example — write automation, set the quality bar, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of the practices you establish
• Own CI automation health: build and maintain test environments, pipelines, and tooling (including containers/CI), reduce flakiness, and shorten feedback loops
• Be a highly visible advocate for quality — lead cross-team discussions, drive alignment and decisions, and escalate risks and blockers immediately

AI-Native Test Engineering

• Lead the adoption of LLM-powered test generation: from natural language requirement ingestion to executable, maintainable test output
• Build and maintain a self-healing test infrastructure layer — leveraging AI to detect broken selectors, drifted APIs, or changed behaviors and propose or apply fixes autonomously
• Define prompt engineering standards, context injection patterns, and RAG architectures that ground test generation in real codebase context
• Implement guardrails to ensure AI-generated test output is verified, traceable, and safe to ship — including versioning, ownership attribution, and confidence scoring
• Own automated coverage and risk reporting (unit/integration/e2e) and use it to drive targeted gap closure and release readiness

Quality Gates & CI/CD

• Lead risk-based test strategy with product and engineering — define acceptance criteria and quality gates that support high delivery velocity without sacrificing customer-impacting quality
• Design adaptive quality gates for AI-accelerated CI/CD pipelines — gates that reason about risk, not just pass/fail thresholds
• Build risk-scoring models that adjust gate strictness based on change scope, code origin (human vs. AI-generated), historical failure patterns, and deployment context
• Architect the observability layer for automated pipelines: surface signals that indicate poor quality decisions in real time
• Establish rollback and circuit-breaker patterns for autonomous deployments triggered by quality signal degradation

AI Model & Agent Validation

• Build behavioral testing frameworks for validating AI agents and LLM-powered features in production — testing non-deterministic outputs with statistical rigor
• Design evaluation benchmarks for internal AI tooling: measuring task completion accuracy, hallucination rates, and decision quality over time
• Define adversarial and edge-case testing methodologies for AI features: prompt injection resistance, boundary condition handling, and graceful degradation
• Partner with ML platform and data science teams to establish quality acceptance criteria for every model and agent promoted to production

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on test automation (unit, integration, end-to-end) and quality engineering practices
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#
• Platform mindset — energized by building infrastructure and frameworks that enable product teams to move faster
• Experience building automation for APIs and distributed systems; UI automation experience is a plus
• Experience with CI/CD, test reporting/observability, and maintaining reliable pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Proven ability to apply AI/LLM tools to scale automation (e.g., generate/refine tests, expand edge cases, refactor brittle suites, accelerate failure triage) while implementing guardrails so AI output is verified, traceable, and safe to ship
• Hands-on understanding of agentic AI patterns: tool use, multi-agent orchestration, planning loops, and human-in-the-loop design as applied to quality workflows
• Familiarity with LLM failure modes relevant to quality: hallucination, context loss, sycophancy, and over-confident assertions
• Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis skills across code, data, and infrastructure
• Strong communication skills; able to translate quality risks into clear tradeoffs and action plans
• Demonstrated technical leadership across teams — driving standards, roadmap execution, and stakeholder alignment
• Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and biased toward action

Desired Skills & Experience

• Modern test frameworks (e.g., pytest, JUnit, NUnit, Playwright, Cypress) and API testing (REST, gRPC)
• Containerization and environments: Docker; Kubernetes a plus
• Relational databases and SQL; ability to validate data pipelines and analytics outputs
• Experience with Elasticsearch or similar text-retrieval data stores
• Performance/load testing (e.g., JMeter, k6, Locust) and profiling/observability
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience building AI-enabled automation workflows (e.g., Claude/OpenAI APIs, prompt patterns for test generation, repo-aware RAG, scripts/services that turn AI output into runnable tests)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

As a Senior ML Platform Engineer, you will contribute to building the ML platform at Prizepicks to scale and productionize our core machine learning capabilities. Your work will directly impact key metrics like Time-to-Bet, Deposit Velocity, and Platform Integrity by integrating robust, low-latency ML models across our sports betting and daily fantasy ecosystems.

What you’ll do:

• Build Scalable ML Systems: Design and build the end-to-end machine learning infrastructure, setup platform for transitioning experimental Data Science models into robust, high-availability production services.
• Real-Time Inference at Scale: Build automation for deploying low-latency services to serve model inferences in milliseconds. You will power real-time decisions across the platform, from dynamic oddsmaking and risk analysis to smart deposit defaults.
• Feature Engineering & Data Strategy: You will lead the creation and optimization of a centralized feature store required to train complex models across diverse business domains.
• End-to-End MLOps: You will work with the Infrastructure team to build and operate core ML platform components for training and experimentation enablement considering developer experience. • 2+ years of experience owning ML systems end-to-end in production, including on-call and incident response.
• Experience with Real-Time Data, proficient in streaming architectures (Kafka/Flink/PubSub) and building low-latency services to serve model inference in <100ms.
• MLOps Expertise, deep experience building a platform for managing the full ML lifecycle (training, deploying, monitoring) using tools like SageMaker, VertexAI, Vector DBs, Graph Databases. Managing and scaling caches like Redis or Elasticsearch.  
• Proficient with Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and cluster-level management.
• Expert in Python, proficiency in Go. C++, or Rust is a strong plus for building high-performance inference layers.

The applicable salary range for this position is $159,000 - $208,950 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. Overview

At Rithum the Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE) team is responsible for the availability, reliability, and observability of all database systems. We rely heavily on automation to reduce manual work and are always looking for ways to improve our processes. We currently Manage and optimize a large-scale SQL Server environment spanning hundreds of instances across hybrid infrastructure (onprem VMware and AWS), as well as installations of various relational and NoSQL database platforms including MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Postgres, and Redis. As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer, you are expected to embody these values and help foster them among your fellow team members. You are responsible for managing a variety of database systems and designing and leading your own projects with a highly technical approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of mission-critical database systems across hybrid infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server Always-on Availability Groups, clustering, and replication topologies. Constantly improve the observability of all database systems.
• Lead major database upgrade initiatives and modernization efforts. Support other engineers and teams in their use of database systems.

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications  

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing database systems
• Basic understanding of multi-tenant, database-driven applications
• Familiarity with common data storage technologies and use cases
• Proficiency in a common high-level language such as PowerShell or Python
• Design, implement, and support SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and transactional replication

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $133,500 - $212,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.

How you will make an impact:

Our Data In Flight (DIF) team owns the core pipelines that ingest and route user and event data into Iterable, powering identity, segmentation, and real-time personalization. We are building a multi-tenant data platform that application teams can build on top of, with clear contracts, SLOs, and guardrails. Our product and our Elasticsearch clusters are multi-tenant, and we run Elasticsearch on Kubernetes using Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK).

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a track record of operating Elasticsearch-backed data platforms in multi-tenant SaaS. You’ll be a hands-on IC who both designs distributed systems and acts as a platform “product owner” for app teams: understanding their needs, shaping the platform roadmap, and defining stable interfaces between product and data infrastructure.

How you will make an impact:

• Own and evolve core Data In Flight services (ingestion, user and event APIs, identity, system events) with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost.
• Lead the Elasticsearch strategy for our multi-tenant live user and event data: index and mapping design, shard strategy, and safeguards across shared clusters.
• Design and enforce platform contracts (APIs, data models, SLAs, and usage limits) that let product teams move quickly while keeping the data platform safe and scalable.
• Work across other data and application teams on initiatives such as Elasticsearch upgrades, guardrails, resharding, and event retention.
• Provide senior technical leadership during incidents and reviews, turning operational learnings into durable platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers on distributed systems, data modeling, and pragmatic use of Elasticsearch.

What you'll bring:

• Hands-on Elasticsearch expertise in production:
• Supporting customer-facing features or platforms backed by ES
• Designing schemas and queries for high-cardinality, multi-tenant workloads
• Operating large clusters (capacity planning, scaling, incident response)
• Multi-tenant platform experience:
• Building shared data services used by multiple product teams
• Implementing rate limits, quotas, and noisy-neighbor protections
• Thinking in terms of contracts and SLOs, not one-off integrations
• Strong distributed systems background:
• JVM-based services (Scala/Java) and event-driven or streaming architectures
• Comfort with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar), messaging, and caches

• Leading cross-team projects from design through rollout
• Translating technical decisions into clear business and product trade-offs
• Clear written communication (RFCs, design docs, post-incident reviews)

Nice To Have:

• Experience with Scala and the Play framework or similar JVM stacks.
• Prior work on core user data platforms (identity, profile stores, event pipelines, or CDP-like systems).
• Exposure to FinOps / infra cost optimization in data-heavy systems.

Captivation Software is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. Will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This position will require onsite customer support in Augusta, GA.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

•  Current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. Can consider candidates with a current TS level clearance as well. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience in designing enterprise APIs.
• Experience in RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle.
• Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers on a daily basis.
• DoD 8570 compliance certification is required (i.e. Security+).
• Must be able to work on customer site in Augusta, GA 2-3 days a week. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NiFi, Kafka, AWS Infrastructure, and K8's.
• Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)
• Scripting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)
