Engineer, Software Support
At ASM, our Software Engineering teams works on delivering software that has immediate, tangible results visible in the operation of semiconductor processing equipment hardware. The hardware includes robotics, gas valves, temperature controllers and other hardware.
As a Software Support Engineer, you will make an impact by investigating, recreating, and troubleshooting software issues to resolution as reported by our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Gather information to investigate the issue, reproduce it, determine the root cause, and recommend corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, including embedded software for control systems. Able to triage mechanical, electrical, and software bugs.
- Responsible for managing escalation calls with field support engineers
- Create bug reports for the developer to use when fixing the bug.
- Work with QA to add replicated bugs to the regression.
- Travel to customer sites to support installations, training, and troubleshooting of ASM products.
- Talking to the account team and GPS group (not directly with the customer) when investigating reported issues.
- The team will handle all issues until they are ready to send to the developer.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS+ 4 years experience or MS+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to read code and diagnose issues.
- Software development or test (QA) experience.
- Ability to travel 10-25% domestic and international.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred expertise in C/C++, C#, Python, Gitlab/Github.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment preferred
- Experience working with two or more of the following is preferred: software for machine control, Semiconductor Factory Automation, Multi-threaded applications, real-time software, device drivers, or other interrupt-driven software

The Department: Enterprise Infrastructure
Within Operations, the Enterprise Infrastructure team owns the internal technology ecosystem that supports Gemini's offices and employees. The team operates as a unified engineering and service organization, combining front-line support excellence with DevOps-driven platform engineering under a single mandate.

The Role: Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer
As a Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and force multiplier across the full breadth of Enterprise Infrastructure – from end-user support excellence to backend platform engineering and automation.
You will apply DevOps methodologies to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the systems that underpin Gemini's global workforce. This includes owning strategies and execution for endpoint management, user identity and access lifecycle, internal tooling, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-augmented operational workflows. You will define and track key metrics, communicate trends and capacity insights to leadership, and make strategic decisions about tooling adoption, vendor relationships, and architectural direction with an awareness of how these decisions impact teams and stakeholders beyond Enterprise Infrastructure.
A core expectation of this role is that you approach problems with an eye toward scalability and sustainability, building systems that reduce manual toil, improve reliability, and position the team for rapid growth. You are expected to critically evaluate existing systems and processes, challenging assumptions, identifying inefficiencies, and driving improvements to legacy workflows with the same rigor applied to new builds. You will act as a mentor and escalation point for others, fostering a culture of engineering rigor within support operations and a culture of user empathy within engineering work.
The ideal candidate has deep experience across both operational support and DevOps-driven infrastructure, thrives in ambiguity, and is energized by the challenge of consolidating legacy tooling into modern, automated, GitOps-driven workflows. They bring a pragmatic approach to adopting emerging capabilities – including agentic AI – and are motivated by building solutions that scale beyond their immediate team to benefit the broader organization.

Responsibilities:

Office & Endpoint Operations
- Manage hardware inventory, secure storage, and physical IT infrastructure across global office locations.
- Administer and support endpoint fleets including provisioning, patch management, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Support office A/V systems, network connectivity, and conference room technology.

Service Operations & Delivery
- Resolve service and incident requests with quality, speed, and thorough documentation.
- Manage user identity and access lifecycle – including SSO, SCIM, MFA, and security key administration.

- Build and maintain infrastructure using IaC, configuration management, and GitOps-driven deployment workflows.

- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes, tooling, and endpoint configurations.
- Lead endpoint management platform migrations, including policy authoring, GitOps-managed profiles, and fleet-wide telemetry.
- Design and implement agentic AI workflows to augment IT operations, applying context engineering principles to enable reliable, bounded automation and validations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure engineering, or a DevOps-focused support capacity.
- Strong proficiency with macOS fleet management at scale using MDM platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Go, Python, Swift – with demonstrated ability to build production-grade internal tooling and API integrations.
- Deep experience with identity and access management platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Active Directory), including SSO, SCIM, Device Assurance Policies, MFA, and user lifecycle automation.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent) and Git-based development workflows.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience with AWS cloud services in a production or internal-tooling context.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team culture, hiring, and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services environments.
- Experience with FleetDM and osquery for endpoint telemetry, compliance, and GitOps-managed device configuration.
- Experience designing agentic AI harnesses and workflows or applying context engineering techniques to augment operational processes (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, LLM-driven automation).
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and/or Swift for internal tooling development.

- Experience managing 1,000+ user accounts across a globally distributed workforce.

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure supporting mission-critical energy operations. You'll work at the intersection of renewable energy and data, developing pipelines that process everything from real-time asset performance data to complex trading and risk analytics. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on clean energy operations while working with a cutting-edge data stack including Snowflake, Dagster, dbt, Modal, and GitLab.
What You'll Be Doing
Analytics Infrastructure & Data Warehouse Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable data infrastructure to support enterprise analytics and reporting needs
- Manage Snowflake instances, including performance tuning, security configuration, and capacity planning for growing data volumes
- Optimize query performance and resource utilization to control costs and improve processing speed
Data Pipeline Development & Orchestration

What You'll Bring

Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform (Corporate AI Team)
Team & Role Overview
Axon’s Corporate AI Team sits within the Enterprise Data organization and focuses on internal-facing AI solutions that help Axon employees do more high‑value work with less manual effort. The team builds and operates Cortex, Axon’s internal AI platform that provides GPT‑class models, chat assistants, and secure integrations with systems like Quip, Jira, Slack, Microsoft 365, Snowflake, and more.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform to help design, build, and scale this platform. In this role, you’ll:
- Own core services and integrations that power AI experiences for thousands of Axon employees.
- Collaborate with Corporate AI, Data Engineering, and business teams to turn real workflows into secure, reliable AI‑powered tools.
- Help define best practices and patterns for building production‑grade LLM and agentic workloads at Axon.

- Own and extend connectors and MCP integrations (e.g., Jira, Quip, Slack, M365, Snowflake) that allow LLMs to safely read and write data in Axon systems.
- Measure and improve reliability, latency, and cost for AI workloads, using telemetry and feedback from real users.
Deployment, Integration, and Reliability
- Drive the end‑to‑end lifecycle of new AI features—from prototype to hardened production service (design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operations).
- Evaluate new AI services (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Azure ML) for fit, performance, and cost; recommend and implement the right options for each use case.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and auditing for AI services, ensuring we can trace usage, detect anomalies, and keep systems healthy in production.
Enablement, Best Practices, and Architecture
- Help define and document best practices for GPT/LLM solution development, including prompt engineering, RAG patterns, agentic workflows, and safe tool use.
- Partner with Corporate AI and Enterprise Architects to shape reference architectures for AI‑enabled apps and workflows (scalability, resiliency, observability, data access).
- Contribute to internal starter kits, training content, and templates that help other engineers and analysts build on the platform effectively.
Security, Governance, and Responsible AI
- Implement and maintain secure patterns for API key management, secrets, and access to models and data sources, aligned with Axon’s security and compliance standards.
- Work with Data, Security, and Governance partners to operationalize responsible AI guardrails—e.g., model selection, data minimization, logging, and usage controls.
- Ensure that new capabilities respect permissions, auditing, and policy requirements across systems like Jira, Quip, Slack, M365, and Snowflake.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, and business teams (Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.) to turn real workflows into repeatable AI solutions.
- Clearly communicate design decisions, trade‑offs, and status to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Participate in brainstorming and discovery sessions to identify “big dumb problems worth solving” with AI and automation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating production services or platforms.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and comfort working with cloud‑native services (functions, containers, managed databases, queues, storage).
- Solid understanding of web service fundamentals (APIs, authentication/authorization, observability, CI/CD) and how to build reliable, maintainable systems.
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML and LLMs—for example, integrating with OpenAI, Bedrock, or similar APIs; building GPT‑style apps; or using AI‑assisted development tools.
- Basic understanding of security best practices (secrets management, least‑privilege access, audit logging) and eagerness to deepen this in the context of AI platforms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working in a fast‑moving, experimental environment.
Preferred Experience
You don’t need all of these, but experience in several of the following will help you ramp quickly:

Your Impact
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for the technical direction, architectural integrity, and operational maturity of Axon’s core infrastructure platforms. What You’ll Do

- Own the architecture and technical direction for Axon’s infrastructure platforms, including VMware, storage, cloud (Azure/AWS), databases, and core platform services.
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, providing technical guidance, prioritization, and mentorship while ensuring high operational standards.
- Design, review, and approve infrastructure solutions supporting corporate IT and Axon product/R&D teams, balancing scalability, security, reliability, and cost.
- Remain hands-on in critical areas such as virtualization, cloud engineering, storage, and database platforms, serving as a senior escalation point.
- Partner closely with Network, Platform, Security, and Product teams to deliver well-architected, cross-functional solutions.

What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated ownership of complex on-prem and cloud environments.
- Deep hands-on expertise with VMware virtualization, enterprise storage, and cloud infrastructure (Azure required; AWS preferred).
- Strong experience with database and platform services, including SQL-based environments.
- Proven experience leading and managing technical infrastructure teams, with a track record of driving results through others.
- Proven experience defining, tracking, and reporting on infrastructure metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for leadership visibility and data-driven decisions.
