About the Role: Central Moloney is seeking a Welder/Metal Fab Inspector to clean, inspect, and repair transformer tanks removed from the line, including post-weld cleanup and repair work. This role plays a key part in making sure every tank meets our quality and safety standards before it moves forward in the production process.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform cleaning and preparation of tanks removed from the line
• Conduct post-weld cleanup and repairs on tanks and components
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with company quality standards
• Use hand tools safely and effectively to complete cleaning, repair, and inspection tasks
• Identify and correct weld and surface issues prior to tanks moving forward in production
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections completed
• Promote and follow safety standards throughout the welding and fabrication environment
• Collaborate with welding and production teams to keep work moving efficiently
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility required
• Weld certificate required
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools
• Ability to clean and repair tanks from weld operations
• Strong attention to detail and quality-mindedness
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed
• Physical ability to perform inspection and repair tasks in various conditions and positions

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime may be required based on production needs

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be comfortable with:

• Lifting & Mobility: Lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted; standing, bending, and moving throughout your shift
• Work Environment: Our facility is active, loud, and warm—especially during peak production
• PPE: We provide and require safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes
• Dexterity & Vision: Manual dexterity and strong visual acuity are needed for detail-oriented work
• Endurance & Teamwork: You’ll need stamina, clear communication, and a safety-first mindset
