We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Combination Welder to join our team. This role is essential in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of critical equipment and piping systems across a variety of industrial environments.
The ideal candidate will possess experience performing multiple welding processes, including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW, to join and repair metal components in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced construction and maintenance environments while delivering high-quality, precision welds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, and structures, using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes and materials required for each project
- Inspects and maintains welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and safe to use
- Performs repairs on broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases the size of metal parts as needed
- Follows safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is often preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding is commonly required, with proficiency in multiple welding techniques
- Certification in welding from recognized organizations (e.g., AWS) may be required or preferred
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical documents
- The job is physically demanding, requiring good hand-eye coordination, strength, and the ability to work in various positions and environments
Work Environment
