Apt Resources is seeking a reliable and vigilant Watchman to safeguard the premises, facilities, and assets during assigned shifts of our VIP client in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular security patrols, monitoring the property, identifying potential security risks, maintaining accurate security records, and ensuring the safety of the premises at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly patrols of the building, surrounding premises, and designated security checkpoints.
• Maintain a detailed hourly security log, documenting patrols, inspections, observations, incidents, and actions taken.
• Inspect all windows, doors, gates, and access points to ensure they are properly secured when the premises are unoccupied.
• Identify and promptly report any unlocked doors, unsecured areas, or other security breaches, including the location and time discovered.
• Monitor alarms, lighting, CCTV systems, and other security equipment, reporting any faults or malfunctions immediately.
• Observe and report suspicious persons, unauthorized visitors, vandalism, theft, property damage, or any unusual activity on or around the premises.
• Investigate signs of unauthorized entry, attempted break-ins, or forced access, and immediately notify management and the appropriate authorities when necessary.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Submit accurate incident reports and communicate security concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Maintain a professional and alert presence while ensuring the safety and security of the premises.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a watchman, security guard, or similar role is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform regular patrols, including standing and walking for extended periods.
• Good observation skills with the ability to identify suspicious activities and potential security risks.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete security logs and incident reports.
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
