With millions of fans, chart-topping games, and a rapidly expanding transmedia footprint spanning film, licensing, and consumer products, Mob is building the infrastructure to support a franchise at global scale.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced executive to lead Mob Entertainment’s Global Consumer Products & Licensing. This leader will own licensing strategy, retail expansion, consumer products, and commercial partnerships while building the infrastructure required to support a rapidly growing global entertainment franchise. This role is expected to quickly establish strategic priorities, strengthen key partner relationships, and begin executing against a long-term licensing growth plan. This position will report directly to the CEO and will closely collaborate with Legal and Finance.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:
- Grow licensing revenue through new and expanded strategic partnerships.
- Secure high-quality licensees and strengthen relationships with key global retailers.
- Build a predictable licensing pipeline and provide accurate commercial forecasts.
- Expand Mob Entertainment's consumer products presence into priority global markets and product categories.
- Establish scalable licensing operations, reporting, and governance that support long-term growth.
- Develop a long-term organizational plan for the Consumer Products & Licensing function.
Responsibilities
Licensing Strategy & Deal Execution
- Own the global licensing roadmap across all product categories (toys, apparel, collectibles, home, publishing, and beyond).
- Establish annual licensing priorities and revenue plans.
- Identify, prioritize, and close new licensee partnerships that align with the brand and drive meaningful revenue.
- Manage the existing licensee roster, including compliance, product quality, on-time delivery.
- Negotiate commercial terms, royalty structures, and MGs in partnership with Legal.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop the Consumer Products & Licensing team as the function scales.
Retail & Channel Development
- Develop retail expansion strategy across major global markets.
- Drive retailer sell-in initiatives and category growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retail buyers, in all major markets, across mass, specialty, and DTC channels.
- Develop retail activation strategies that maximize shelf presence and franchise visibility.
- Partner with internal teams on product calendars and sell-in timelines.
Brand & Product Oversight
- Enforce brand standards across all licensed products; work with Creative on style guide development and approvals.
- Partner with Production, Creative and Marketing to ensure brand consistency across all licensed products.
- Lead cross-functional product approval processes.
- Oversee product development pipelines from concept through retail-ready.
- Identify white space opportunities across categories and geographies.
DTC Commerce
- Define long-term DTC strategy. Identify opportunities to accelerate product launches and international expansion.
- Strategize on shortening time to market products with current Commerce partners.
- Identify international commerce opportunities in meaningful territories (e.g., Brazil, Korea).
Internal Operations & Reporting
- Establish scalable licensing operations, reporting, royalty governance, and commercial processes.
- Develop organizational recommendations as the licensing function grows.
- Maintain CP&L infrastructure: deal tracking, royalty reporting, approval workflows, licensee communication cadence.
- Develop annual licensing revenue targets and provide regular commercial forecasting updates to executive leadership.
- Build the team playbook and org structure recommendation for the full-time function.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in consumer products, licensing, or brand management and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record closing licensing deals across multiple categories with major retail partners in all meaningful territories.
- Demonstrated experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing Consumer Products & Licensing organizations.
- Established network of relationships with leading global licensees, retailers, distributors, and licensing agents.
- Experience with entertainment or gaming IP preferred.
- Experience with DTC storefront preferred.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal ramp time as this role requires immediate impact.
- Based in or willing to work from Los Angeles on a hybrid schedule.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Salary
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation within the applicable salary range will be determined based on factors such as the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and work location.
Los Angeles, CA: $248,000 - $290,000 USD annually
