WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Legal is the heart: We are working in a highly regulated environment.  As the heart pumps the blood to the body, legal is pumping our business to the market. As a team, we work close together with business, management and all other stakeholders of the company. Our mission is to enable Trade Republic to provide the best service and the best product to our customers in the existing legal framework. Your responsibilities will include:

• Independent handling of litigation cases with strong focus on international cases: out-of-court correspondence with opponent lawyers, providing drafts of court statements to external lawyers 
• Close and independent collaboration with different stakeholders within the organisation in order to create strong defences    
• Development of litigation strategies for different case constellations 
• Very close guidance of and collaboration with external lawyers in each jurisdiction; interface between the TR legal team and external law firms on all legal matters that arise 
• Collaboration with inhouse litigation lawyer and highly independent case handling including attendance to court hearings and settlement negotiations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You have successfully completed your training as a German fully qualified lawyer (1. and 2. state exam), Diplomjurist (only 1. state exam) or Wirtschaftsjurist (LL.B. or LL.M.)
• You have at least 4+ years professional experience in independent claims handling / handling court cases 
• You already have gathered 2+ years experience in international litigation cases
• You have worked with a variety of external lawyers and know how to efficiently guide them 
• You are communicative, love working as part of a team and are actively anticipating risks where your action is necessary
• Problem-solving and driving change by using innovative solutions is for you a matter of course
• A true star when it comes to independent management of assigned tasks 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
