About this Video Editor role at Sporty Group
SportyTV South Africa is looking for a skilled, fast, creative and sports-savvy Video Editor to join our growing production team as we build a bold new sports broadcasting platform for South African audiences.
This role is based in Cape Town and will form part of SportyTV South Africa’s local production and post-production operation.
The Video Editor will be responsible for editing high-quality video content across SportyTV’s studio shows, digital platforms, social channels, app, YouTube, promotional campaigns and live-event coverage. This role requires someone who can work quickly under pressure, understand the rhythm of sport, and turn raw footage into sharp, engaging content that feels current, premium and proudly South African.
Football will be the main focus of SportyTV South Africa’s content offering, but the platform will also cover other major sports and sporting stories relevant to South African audiences. The Video Editor should therefore have a strong feel for football, while also being versatile enough to work across different sporting codes, formats and content styles.
From daily news packages and match previews to social clips, presenter-led features, campaign videos, interviews, promos and highlights-style edits, the Video Editor will play a key role in shaping the look, pace and energy of SportyTV South Africa.
