About this Upholster Machine Operator role at Parallel Employment
• Under the direction of the Plant Manager this position assembles, covers and repair seating pads for fitness equipment. This position differentiates from level II in that the incumbent may be learning to use the router and sewing machine, but does not do so regularly and independently.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time
• Cut padding using band saw
• Traces and cut upholstery material using scissors or razor blade
• Covers assembled seating pad using staple and/or glue
• Remove old covering, padding and defective wood from seat needing repair as needed
• Have all necessary tools required at your work station and in proper working condition
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Keep area clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures and instructions
• Maintain productivity throughout shift
• Meet production expectations set by team lead/plant manager
• Other duties as assigned
Pay: $20-$22/hr. BOE
1st shift; Mon.-Thurs. 6AM-4:30PM

Minimum Experience:
• 3 months to 3 years related experience and/or training in upholstery, sewing, assembly, or related experience.
