About this Technical Integration Engineer - Cybersecurity Platform (Public Sector) role at Xtremax Pte. Ltd.
At Xtremax, we build and support technology that powers critical digital services across Singapore's public sector. We're looking for a Technical Integration Engineer (Cybersecurity Platform) to join a high-impact cybersecurity programme, helping government agencies securely onboard their systems into a central security monitoring platform.
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, networking, and cybersecurity. You'll collaborate with infrastructure engineers, platform teams, and agency stakeholders to troubleshoot integration challenges, validate log ingestion, and ensure security telemetry is reliably delivered to a large-scale Security Operations Centre (SOC) platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure problems, understanding how complex systems interact, and working directly with technical stakeholders. If you enjoy investigating connectivity issues, debugging integrations, and helping organisations adopt secure operational practices, you'll find plenty of opportunities to make a meaningful impact while expanding your expertise across cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical onboarding of applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments onto a central cybersecurity monitoring platform.
- Troubleshoot issues related to log generation, log forwarding, SIEM ingestion, connectivity, authentication, and infrastructure integrations across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Work closely with infrastructure, backend, and cybersecurity teams to investigate and resolve complex cross-platform integration issues.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders on onboarding requirements, architecture considerations, configuration standards, and implementation best practices.
- Validate onboarding activities through testing and production readiness reviews to ensure reliable and complete log ingestion.
- Conduct technical workshops, onboarding sessions, and implementation discussions with engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate technical activities across multiple stakeholders while providing regular updates on onboarding progress, implementation risks, and recommended solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, onboarding guides, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting knowledge base articles.
- Support governance processes by ensuring onboarding activities align with security standards, operational procedures, and change management requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, cybersecurity engineering, technical consulting, or systems integration roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve infrastructure and integration issues.
- Experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including routing, firewalls, security groups, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
- Experience working with SIEM platforms or enterprise log management solutions, with a solid understanding of log collection, forwarding, and ingestion workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems using REST APIs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, or related integration technologies.
- Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages to automate operational tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage technical issues through to resolution.
Preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity platforms or Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments.
- Experience working with public sector organisations or large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code or configuration management tools.
- Relevant certifications in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, Linux administration, or IT service management (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), RHCSA, or ITIL Foundation).
