We are now hiring a Quest Migration Consultant to join our Consultancy team within IT Services, supporting customers with complex Microsoft migration and transformation projects. This role will focus on delivering migration projects across Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, using Quest technologies to support customer transitions, coexistence and modernisation.

You will work closely with customers, internal teams and vendor partners to support the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and discovery through to implementation and handover, helping ensure successful delivery across a range of public sector and not‑for‑profit organisations.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver migration projects across Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Support the scoping of migration projects, helping define requirements and solution approach.
  • Carry out discovery activities across AD DS and M365 environments.
  • Contribute to the design, planning and delivery of migration solutions.
  • Work across the full project lifecycle, from initial engagement through to delivery and handover.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality and customer expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Help develop and improve team processes, standards and ways of working.
  • Share knowledge and support other team members through mentoring and collaboration.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and knowledge required for delivery.
  • Ensure all work aligns with data protection, security and company policies.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience delivering Microsoft infrastructure or migration projects.
  • Good understanding of Active Directory environments (AD DS) and Microsoft 365.
  • Awareness of migration tools and approaches (Quest or similar solutions desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams in parallel.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather and interpret customer requirements and contribute to solution design.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in new tools and technologies.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering AD DS migrations or M365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations.
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle (discovery, design, delivery and handover).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft identity services, such as Entra ID.
  • Experience working with Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive environments.
  • Experience with Quest tools (ODM AD, ODM 365, Domain Move) or similar solutions beneficial.
  • Relevant Microsoft or vendor certifications desirable, but not essential.

Primary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42).

What about hybrid/remote working?
Hybrid working is supported, with flexibility depending on customer and project requirements.

How many interviews?
Following a screen with the Recruitment Team, you can expect a two‑stage interview process, one online and one in‑person.
