About this Team Lead Procurement role at Devsinc
Devsinc is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills who can support the company's operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and contract management.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service agreements, and contracts to achieve the best value for the company.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while ensuring high service standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage procurement budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and documentation.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, supplier disputes, and delivery challenges efficiently.
- Lead and mentor procurement team members while driving continuous process improvements.
- Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and performance metrics for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience managing vendor negotiations and procurement contracts.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 standards from a procurement perspective, with the ability to support internal and external audits by ensuring procurement documentation, supplier compliance, and process adherence.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, or purchasing platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in a relevant field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are preferred.
- Experience working in the IT services or technology industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement practices and contract regulations.
