We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office for the afternoon/Night shift.

***Weekend coverage required***

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the protection of people, property, facilities, and information
• Maintain surveillance of surrounding area and report suspicious activity
• Strong ability to de-escalate situations and be able to handle individuals that need to be removed from the property
• Perform detailed and diligent patrols
• Ability to handle emergency alarms in a quick manner (e.g., Fire Alarms, etc.)
• Observe and report daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel
• Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed
• Work with local police service
• Draft reports
• Coordinate with internal departments if in case of emergency or an accident
• Responsible for providing accident reports or video screen to Safety team in case of any accident
• Assist in carrying out Emergency Response Plans in the event of an actual crisis.
• Electronically maintain accurate and complete security records.
  

Requirements

• Must hold and maintain valid applicable Security Guard License and First Aid & CPR Certification
• Minimum of 1 year of tactical security experience in large venue settings in a team environment
• Familiarity with transportation yard operations and experience working in a busy logistics yard environment is preferred.
• Comfortable working Afternoon shift or night shift
• Valid Use of Force Hand-cuffing Certification would be an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while being alert and detail oriented
• Ability to exercise vigilance and multitask is required (Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a dynamic environment)
• Ability to de-escalate and diffuse challenging situations and successfully resolve customer issues in a diplomatic and professional manner
• Computer/ tech savvy and adapt to new softwares quickly
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal English
• Strong decision-making ability – shows good judgment and confidence
