We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in Linux infrastructure and hands-on expertise in Oracle KVM virtualization to join our Open Source Systems team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise Linux environments with a particular focus on Oracle KVM virtualization platforms. This role also includes automation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and collaboration with customers and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise Linux environments.
  • Install, configure, and support Oracle KVM virtualization infrastructure.
  • Manage Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) environments.
  • Provision and manage virtual machines, clusters, templates, storage domains, and networking.
  • Monitor virtualization infrastructure performance and availability.
  • Perform upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot Linux operating system, storage, networking, and virtualization issues.
  • Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using Ansible and shell scripting.
  • Participate in customer implementations and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Linux.
  • Proven hands-on experience administering Oracle KVM / Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
  • Strong understanding of: KVM virtualization, Linux networking , LVM, Multipathing
  • Experience managing high-availability Linux environments.
  • Any experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Pacemaker / Corosync clustering, Ansible Automation Platform, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, VMware migration projects will be considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Bash scripting.
  • Good written and spoken English.
