About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.
About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Systems Architect to provide critical support to a Community-of-Interest (COI) as they navigate the transition from on-premises environments to a sophisticated multi-cloud architecture.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Sponsor’s group-level security and architecture team, helping to protect highly sensitive, co-mingled data across all network fabrics. You will act as a bridge between technical execution and executive-level strategy, ensuring that complex systems are not only high-performing and cost-effective but also meet the most stringent security standards in the Intelligence Community. This is an opportunity to directly influence the research, design, and accreditation of systems that have a global impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Design:
Support the research, design, development, and maintenance of complex systems spanning all network fabrics.
Review proposed technical solutions and architectures to provide formal findings and recommendations.
Research and author whitepapers on innovative solutions to meet the Sponsor’s evolving technical needs.
Assist with the adoption and use of Sponsor tools for external partners.
Cloud & Performance Management:
Evaluate Cloud Service Provider (CSP) offerings for use with highly sensitive data.
Track and optimize cloud costs, including the development of cost models for IC and Department of Weaponry (DoW) partners.
Architect hybrid cloud environments and oversee migrations from on-premises to multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle).
Security & Governance:
Serve as the focal point for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and system accreditation.
Provide expertise on encryption techniques and products to determine the best options for specific problem sets.
Support technical forums and review boards, providing executive-level briefings on system health and architectural roadmaps.
Manage systems and components specifically designed to protect highly sensitive, co-mingled data.
Required Experience/Clearance
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
10+ years of experience in systems architecture or a related technical field.
System Design: Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems that handle extremely sensitive data.
Network Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing or maintaining systems on multiple network fabrics and global scales.
Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience with Cloud Service Providers (CSP) specifically AWS, Azure, and Oracle.
Hybrid Environments: Demonstrated experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures.
Optimization: Demonstrated experience optimizing cloud-hosted systems for cost and performance efficiencies.
Desired Experience
We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
- Experience supporting Service of Common Concern (SoCC) programs.
- Experience designing and standardizing DevOps processes.
- Familiarity with the Sponsor’s specific suite of tools.
- Direct experience supporting IC and DoW programs.
