Summary

Our customer is seeking a senior Technical Product Owner to drive the development and delivery of digital products that solve customer problems and meet business goals. You will work on cross-functional agile teams, owning the product backlog, writing acceptance criteria, and collaborating with developers, UX designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

This role offers the chance to influence roadmap decisions, mentor other Product Owners, and work with tools and practices used for modern digital product delivery, including Azure-native applications and product management platforms like Azure DevOps and Jira.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog with epics, features, and user stories.
  • Write clear acceptance criteria and ensure development teams understand and accept user stories.
  • Drive agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and developers to ensure a seamless, user-centered digital experience.
  • Translate product manager vision and market insights into prioritized features and a delivery roadmap.
  • Act as the communication bridge between technology teams and product managers to resolve questions and align expectations.
  • Communicate product status, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders and relevant audiences.
  • Mentor Product Owners and contribute best practices across teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process or technology improvements within the team.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in IT, Engineering, or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner on an agile software product team.
  • Deep understanding of agile product delivery principles and practices.
  • Experience maintaining and grooming product backlogs, writing acceptance criteria, and defining product roadmaps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into concise points.
  • Experience working with Azure native applications.
  • Familiarity with product management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Trello, Lucid, and Confluence.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO).
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design best practices.
  • Experience with program governance using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
