The role

Benepass is looking for a Senior Product Designer to design thoughtful, high-quality product experiences on a small, high-ownership team.

This role is ideal for a designer who is strong in execution, cares deeply about craft, and enjoys working on meaningful product problems in close partnership with Product and Engineering. You’ll design real, customer-facing experiences, contribute to the evolution of the product, and see your work ship and iterate over time.

This role offers clear ownership, strong collaboration, and the opportunity to do focused, high-impact design work within a supportive team environment.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end product experiences in close partnership with Product and Engineering. You will:

  • Design full product pages, flows, and feature areas from early concepts through polished execution

  • Work closely with a Product Manager to understand goals, requirements, and constraints, and translate them into effective design solutions

  • Contribute to the design system by applying existing patterns thoughtfully and helping improve consistency and quality

  • Participate in product discovery and user research to understand user needs and validate design decisions

  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, data, and usability insights

  • Communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional partners

  • Deliver work reliably and on time, surfacing questions or risks early

You’ll be expected to work independently on your designs, while collaborating closely with your manager and teammates to ensure alignment and quality.

What we’re looking for

This role is a strong fit if you:

  • Have 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on digital products

  • Have solid visual design and interaction design skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Enjoy being hands-on and doing the work

  • Are comfortable owning meaningful design work from start to finish

  • Can incorporate feedback and context to improve design outcomes

  • Are comfortable working within existing systems and constraints

  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well with Product and Engineering partners

  • Are curious, thoughtful, and motivated to continue growing your craft

  • Take accountability seriously and follow through on what you commit to

  • Experience working on complex products or in fast-moving environments is a plus, but we’re most interested in your fundamentals, judgment, and approach to collaboration.

Compensation

Base salary of $140,000 to $160,000 + equity.

Range(s) is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including market comparables, interview performance, peer compensation, and years of experience.

What We Offer

  • 95% coverage of medical, dental, and vision

  • Fantastic benefits (of course 😃), including:

    • $250 WFH setup (one time)

    • $500/year Learning & Development Benefit

    • $150/month cell phone + internet

    • $100/month Wellness

    • $100/month Co-working and Commuter Benefit

  • We offer several team onsites a year

  • Flexible PTO

At Benepass, we are working towards reimagining how companies take care of their people. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees and are seeking to build a team that reflects the diversity of the people we hope to serve with our revolutionary products. Benepass is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
