As the Specialist - Technical Representative, you will brainstorm, plan, and execute regional product education and experiential activations to deliver consistent retail support and build local brand affinity within local communities. Connecting your daily efforts directly to our mission of igniting the human spirit through movement, you will serve as the reliable, go-to product expert for store staff within your territory. Reporting to the Technical Representative Lead within the Brand Experience team, you will collaborate closely with local Sales Representatives and others on the Marketing team to protect account health and ensure On is represented with premium execution across all partner touchpoints with our top partners.

This position is travel-intensive (up to 60%) and as a perk, a company vehicle will be included for use as a perk. Our ideal team member will live within about an hour's drive from San Francisco, CA.

Your Mission

• Conduct high-impact product knowledge clinics that articulate the technical features and performance benefits of On’s footwear and apparel collections

   

• Support retail partner events through the execution of product demos, community runs, and brand activations that deliver a premium experience

   

• Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with Emerging and On Ambassadors, leveraging their influence to amplify brand presence in the local community

   

• Partner closely with prospective and dedicated Run Partners to identify growth opportunities and strengthen long-term commercial alliances

   

• Deliver integrated marketing support to top-tier partners by collaborating with Brand Experience, Campaigns, Creative, and Sports Marketing teams

   

• Manage On’s presence at local expos and corporate events, overseeing logistics from booth setup to consumer engagement

   

• Implement and maintain in-store visual merchandising standards to ensure the brand is represented with premium consistency

   

• Monitor regional inventory levels during store visits and facilitate fill-in orders to ensure product availability for our fans

   

• Act as a strategic liaison by gathering and sharing market insights, competitor trends, and partner feedback with the wider Sales and Marketing teams

Your Story

• You bring 4+ years of experience within a role as a technical representative, a sales representative, retail sales, for an outdoor or run specialty retail brand

   

• Foundational understanding of the deeper technical aspects of human physiology and product engineering within the running space

   

• Comfort, ease, and engaging energy when presenting educational information to audiences ranging from retailers, customers, and industry professionals

   

• Ability to track personal travel schedules, manage account visit expenses, and utilize basic office productivity tools efficiently

   

• Willingness to navigate a travel-intensive schedule of up to 60% across the designated territory while living within commutable proximity to San Francisco, CA

   

• You possess a valid driver’s license and are willing to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of the pre-employment process

The Brand Experience team brings On’s mission to life across the region. We lead the physical expression of the brand across retail environments, events, and community activations, creating premium, high-impact moments that connect people to our brand. Our team includes B2B Marketing, Retail Marketing Operations, Visual Merchandising, Events, Community Marketing, and Technical Representatives, working cross-functionally to support our retail accounts, empower store staff, and expand our footprint while staying true to our performance and sustainability roots.

Typical cash compensation range for this position inclusive of base + bonus: $75,000-$90,000. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including experience, industry knowledge, qualifications, skill set, and location. Certain roles may be eligible for equity compensation in addition to cash compensation.
