About the Role

We're looking for a Solutions Sales Engineer to join DBSync. This is a hybrid role that sits between sales and delivery: you'll support the sales cycle through technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-concepts, and you'll work alongside our services team to scope and stand up integration solutions for Mid-Market and Enterprise clients.

DBSync is an iPaaS company. Our value is reliable, maintainable integration between CRMs, accounting systems, and ERPs. The ideal candidate pairs strong integration and data fundamentals with the customer-facing skill to translate technical solutions into business value and uses AI and analytics to make those solutions smarter, not as a substitute for solid integration design.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Scoping: Work with sales and customers to understand source and target systems, data volumes, and sync requirements; design integration solutions and scope the work needed to deliver them.
  • Technical Demos & POCs: Prepare and deliver demos, proof-of-concepts, and trials of DBSync integrations, showing how data flows and syncs across CRM, accounting, and ERP systems.
  • Integration Delivery Support: Partner with the services team to build, configure, and validate integration workflows — field mapping, transformation logic, sync triggers, scheduling, and error handling.
  • Data & Systems Expertise: Apply working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and the object models of common CRM and accounting/ERP systems to design integrations that hold up in production.
  • Customer Engagement: Support clients through onboarding and adoption, troubleshoot integration issues, and recommend improvements.
  • AI & Analytics Enablement: Where it adds value, layer AI-driven features (automation, predictive insight, conversational interfaces) onto integration solutions; identify where analytics can surface ROI for the customer.
  • Feedback & Strategy: Gather client feedback, identify common patterns, and feed them back into product, templates, and sales positioning.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure solutions meet data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Enablement: Train sales teams on integration capabilities and how to position them; document solutions for repeatable delivery.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between customers, sales, engineering, product, and customer success from concept through operational delivery.s.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in technical sales, solutions/sales engineering, integration consulting, data management, or a related technical-customer-facing role.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot) and accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, or Xero).
  • Solid grasp of integration concepts: APIs (REST/SOAP), data mapping and transformation, sync logic, scheduling, and error handling.
  • Proficiency with SQL and comfort working with APIs and tools like Postman.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with iPaaS or middleware platforms (DBSync, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Celigo, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks (LLMs, chatbots, predictive analytics, automation platforms) and how to apply them to integration and data workflows.
  • Experience with BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python).
  • Additional languages beyond English.
  • Certifications in data analytics, AI/ML, or relevant CRM/ERP platforms.

Work Shift: U.S. Shift (8:00 AM CST to 5:00 PM CST)
