About this Software Engineer (TS/SCI Clearance Required) role at North Point Technology
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Software Developer to support NGA's Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) mission. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance, and will help collect the sciences, technology, and tradecraft used to measure and model the globe, providing three-dimensional accuracy of every point in, on, or above the Earth. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of software development concepts and exceptional coding skills across a range of modern tools and frameworks in support of the mission.

Responsibilities:
This position involves coding, developing, integrating, and debugging software artifacts in support of innovative geospatial solutions. Duties will include writing validation tests against existing baselines to ensure code integrity throughout Agile development efforts, assisting with unit testing, programming, and developing in Python, Java Spring, and other modern frameworks.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in software development and integration projects within a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web Services)
- Experience working with GNU-based compilers
- Hands-on programming experience in C++, Java, TypeScript, and Bash
- Development experience with Spring/Gradle/OpenJDK and React/Node frameworks
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS and Postgres
- Strong coding experience in Python
- Experience using GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and resource management
- Experience using Docker to package and run applications
- Experience with web-related protocols and technologies, including web servers, HTTP, and SSL
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Previous experience supporting the NGA customer
- Proficiency in AWS and cloud technologies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+)
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree
