Join the founding team of the Truveta India Development Center (IDC) and play a pivotal role in shaping its future. As one of the initial members, you'll help build and scale a high-impact organization while contributing to products and platforms that advance healthcare through data and AI. This is a unique opportunity to influence both the technical direction and the culture of a growing global engineering hub. This highly visible position will report to our Director of Clinical Intelligence and AI Evaluation team directly and will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and ML teams across geographies.

We are seeking Full Stack Engineers to help build our critical internal annotation and administrative platforms to enable high-quality data modelling, clinical note annotation and normalization, LLM-based labelling, concept mapping, operational workflows and model evaluation frameworks across the company. We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex full stack, i.e., both UX and backend data problems and want to build tools used daily by internal clinical domain and technical experts.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features for clinical data annotation and internal tooling platforms.
- Implement advanced UI interactions such as text highlighting, tagging, categorization, and review workflows.
- Build backend services that support high-quality data modelling, clinical note annotation and normalization, LLM-based labelling, concept mapping, operational workflows and model evaluation frameworks.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to translate annotation requirements into scalable solutions for LLM based model development and improve model performance.
- Optimize UX performance for high-volume data and concurrent users.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotation.
- Communicate on the status of various projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure that clinical data projects are successfully executed and delivered.
- Excel in providing technical analytics support as well as directly working with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot any data analyses. Work with customers to achieve their goals, teaching them how to wrangle and analyze data using SQL, R and Python on real-world data to address their empirical questions.
Required Skills
- Graduate or Masters level educational degree in computer science, data science, clinical informatics, health information management, clinical research, data analysis or related fields.
- 2+ years of demonstrated professional software development experience, including,
- Front end development experience with React and TypeScript,
- state management frameworks such as Redux,
- Backend experience using NestJS (Node.js) and/or C#/.NET
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and modern service architectures.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data structures, at least one statistical programming language (R or Python), familiar with Spark bigdata analytics environments, GenAI tools, for data wrangling, analysis, and reproducible research workflows.
- working with customers or research teams to translate their asks into executable analytical code, rigorous quality analytical datasets, deliver high quality research analyses.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills, troubleshoot and identify data or methodological issues early and communicate them effectively. Have ownership, accountability and reliability mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain analytical approaches and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic start-up environment and a good team-player.
- Willingness to learn new analytical tools, programming languages, and proprietary platforms used to analyze real-world data.
Preferred Qualifications
These qualifications are preferred but not required, please do not let them stop you from applying for this role. You will likely get the opportunity to learn how to do these more advanced analyses if you don’t already have experience with them.
- Spark/PySpark, Databricks, data structures experience
- Experience working with unstructured clinical data or natural language processing outputs
- conducting analyses using large healthcare datasets (e.g., electronic health records, clinical notes or other real-world data sources consisting of millions of patients' data.) optimized to handle large volumes of text, structured and unstructured data and complex review workflows.
