Job's mission
The Spares Planner drives service parts availability and optimizes inventory levels across a specific geographic region. This role bridges the gap between Field Service Engineers, Service Operations and Logistics, reducing downtime waiting for parts through proactive planning, material management, and scheduling.
What you will be working on
- Inventory Planning & Management:
- Analyze historical demand, optimize planning parameters for the regions.
- Manage stocking levels, E&O and inventory rebalancing.
- Support NPI planning, initial stocking strategies, and part lifecycle transitions.
- Monitor and validate MRP accuracy. Responsible & resolves data integrity issues. Responds to MRP validation inquiries from purchasing community.
- Expediting materials when foreseeing shortage in material horizontal table.
- Familiar with Engineering Change process, including Inventory Disposition / Legacy Support Planning / Last Time Buy.
- Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between FSE, CSR, Buyer, Forecaster, and Logistics.
What we are looking for
- 8+ years in Spares material planning, having other experience (customer service / order fulfillment / supply chain) will be plus.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent planning abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between departments. Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) to support global interactions.
- Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
