Role Overview
We are looking for Senior Software Engineers with deep expertise in backend development, software architecture, and complex codebases. In this role, you'll design realistic software engineering tasks, solve challenging debugging and implementation problems, and contribute high-quality code and technical reasoning that will be used to train advanced AI systems.
CONTRACT: Contractor
COMMITMENT: Hourly/Part-time
LOCATION: Remote

HOURLY RATE: $100 - $230/h
NOTES: You need to be able to provide some publicly available work such as GitHub/GitLab repo, PR request, open-source contribution, technical articles, or similar
Responsibilities
- Design realistic software engineering challenges involving debugging, feature development, code refactoring, and performance optimization
- Develop reference implementations and reproducible software environments
- Write high-quality code in Python, Java, Go, Rust, C++, or TypeScript
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects
- Refactor and optimize existing codebases for performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Document technical decisions, implementation approaches, and engineering rationale
- Review and validate technical solutions submitted by other contributors
- Apply software engineering best practices across diverse programming languages and systems
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in at least one of: Python, Java, Go, Rust, C++, or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
- Experience debugging and optimizing complex production systems
