What you will be doing:

Create prototypes and software design proposals that provide short-term business value while aligning with future-state product and architecture vision

Research and break down large initiatives into parallelizable chunks of work that provide incremental business value towards the end feature goal
-
Champion proposals into production through all phases of the Agile SDLC from design to implementation
-
Contribute to improving the core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and overall SDLC
-
Work with senior developers and architects to define and oversee the execution of the product architecture roadmap
-
Troubleshoot and eliminate persistent root causes for production issues that your product faces
-
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
-
Facilitate design discussions within and outside of the squad
-
Represent the team in technical discussions with Tech Leads, Operations, Product/UX, and external stakeholders
-
Provide mentorship to the other developers on your team through design reviews, pair programming, and code reviews
-
Keep technical documentation up to date and create new artifacts when required
-
Share knowledge on new technologies and industry best practices to build our coding standards
What you'll bring:
-
Experience building highly distributed microservice architecture using Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, and Gradle
-
Strong OOP skills, advocate for code quality, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
-
Experience with complex projects in the public cloud (AWS, ideally)
-
Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (or other tool)
-
Creating and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
-
Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality
-
Expertise with test-driven development, developing unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests
-
Experience with developing and working with thoughtfully designed HTTP APIs, such as REST or GraphQL
- Strong English language communication and collaboration skills.
Agentic engineering and AI tools expectations
As a member of this team, you are expected to integrate AI-assisted development into your daily workflow. This means using AI tools strategically to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and solve problems faster, while maintaining strong engineering judgment and accountability for all work that ships.

Proficiently use inline code completion tools in your daily IDE workflow

Use conversational AI assistants for pair programming, design discussion, debugging, and documentation

Critically evaluate all AI-generated output before committing, verify correctness, security, and alignment with team standards

Identify routine or well-scoped tasks as candidates for agentic automation, and propose improvements to your tools/workflows to support this

Build feedback loops: document what worked, what failed, and why, to improve future agent performance and team understanding

Collaborate with your team to design and instrument AI-powered developer tooling; measure its impact on velocity and quality
Nice to have:

SPA development using Angular/Typescript

Experience with Serverless Framework

Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts

Experience working within a large enterprise Monorepo codebase (NX preferred)

Experience with container technologies, such as Docker. Ideally with container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
