Marie Claire US is looking for an experienced and social-savvy Senior Shopping Editor with a deep interest in Marie Claire US readers and the market they’re hungry for; who has a unique point of view and an endless well of ideas when it comes to trends and styling; who loves digging into data to learn about audiences; and who shines on camera.
If you love curating an elevated edit from a major retailer, styling it as only you can, and showcasing your look and learnings with a wide audience, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
You will report to the Fashion Director
- Write an average of two stories each day for our Fashion vertical, with an emphasis on self-styling, trend identification, and a strong market edit
- Self-shoot, edit, and post 2-3 first-person videos each week on social platforms including Instagram and TikTok
- Working with our social lead, oversee ShopMy coverage on Instagram with the goal of boosting sales
- Monitor editorial, social, and affiliate performance to identify patterns and optimize future output
- Represent the brand on social media and other outward-facing media (e.g. TV hits), in addition to at events
Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve
- Instincts around what feels aspirational, timely, and commercially relevant
- Familiarity with the fashion retail landscape, including luxury, contemporary, and mass market
- Distinctive fashion point of view, with the ability to translate trends into accessible shopping recommendations for the Marie Claire audience
- Experience speaking directly to an audience about styling, with an emphasis on self-styling
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience managing social and editorial calendars
- Experience reviewing data to inform output
- Experience filming and editing social-first videos; knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
The expected range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000

This is a hybrid role from our New York office, working two days from the office and three from home.
This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between Future US, Inc. and the Writers Guild of America East
