About the role
We are hiring a Senior Security Engineer to own security at Meshy, hands-on, end to end. You will be our first dedicated security hire, responsible for building and operating security and compliance. You will be hardening infrastructure, tuning detections, responding to incidents, and shipping secure patterns for a globally distributed team, in partnership with external vendors.
This is a high-leverage builder role: broad ownership combined with deep hands-on execution.
What you'll do
Build and operate security foundations across the infrastructure and software stack
Own vulnerability management and incident response end to end: triage, remediation, runbooks, and coordination with compliance partners
Ship secure patterns for IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, and CI/CD pipelines, and drive adoption across engineering
Support the compliance roadmap and manage external vendors
Set practical security standards and build a strong security culture
What you bring
3+ years in security engineering or cloud security with a track record of shipping security improvements yourself, not just directing others
Cloud security expertise: IAM, networking, workload and container security, secrets management
Experience building security capabilities from the ground up in a fast-moving team
Hands-on experience with modern security platforms
Strong incident response judgment and experience coordinating remediation across teams
Solid coding ability and familiarity with secure SDLC practices and CI/CD integration
Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across engineering, research, product, and IT
Nice to have
Experience securing ML/GPU infrastructure or multi-tenant compute platforms
Experience at globally distributed companies
Bilingual English and Chinese
