About this Senior Project Specialist (12-month parental cover) role at Novo Nordisk Foundation
We are looking for a structured and proactive colleague who can support and strengthen our work within the Health Systems & Economics team and also support coordination in the department for Global and Public Health. The Health System and Economics team is part of the Global & Public Health department headed by Director Mette Ide Davidsen. The mission of the department is to work in partnerships to drive equitable and systemic changes in public and global health by bridging research, policy and practice. The department consists of 19 colleagues divided into three teams. Part of this role will be to support our Director with coordinating activities across our department.
You will join our Health Systems & Economics team. The team consists of 5 highly dedicated colleagues, who aim to improve health outcomes and equity by supporting feasible and cost-effective solutions for people living with cardiometabolic diseases to strengthen health system sustainability in primarily Denmark. We develop initiatives that help turn good ideas and research into solutions that pay off - for people and for the health system, and further we support the application of health systems and economics thinking across relevant NNF initiatives to enable promising scientific advances and innovations to be translated into implementable, scalable, and sustainable solutions applicable to real-world settings.
The Job
As Senior Project Specialist, you will contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives, support portfolio and pipeline processes, and help drive collaboration with primarily national partners. Part of your time will also be used to support the daily operations within the department, giving you insights into projects across the department and our ways of working.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new initiatives within health systems and economics.
- Conducting desk research and identifying key figures on different topics including health and welfare innovation, health workforce, etc.
- Contributing to stakeholder management and collaborations with national, Nordic and European partners.
- Planning seminars and external presentations on, for example, implementation science on the team, department and health area level.
- Supporting department meetings by drafting agendas, continuous overview of agenda items, meeting material, take minutes, follow-up on actions.
- Coordinating across department activities, such as coordination meetings across the three teams, team activities and coordinating off-site trips
About you
You hold a master’s degree in public health, political science, or similar. You have a couple of years of experience working in the public sector, whether from a municipality, region or at national level. It could also be from a research institution or NGO, preferably working with and/or around the health system.
You bring with you:
- Strong skills in desk research, synthesis and communication, including identifying and summarising key figures and evidence.
- Project management skills/tools
- Experience supporting stakeholder collaboration across organisations and sectors.
- Proven ability to plan and execute meetings, seminars and presentations end-to-end.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Danish/Scandinavian language (as you will mainly work with Danish stakeholders)
As a person, you are structured and analytical, with a collaborative mindset. You can move between analytical tasks and practical coordination with ease, always delivering at a high-quality. You are curious, eager to learn and develop ideas, and are confident in your communication skills.
