Role Summary and Impact
As a Senior Manager specializing in Linear Activation Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing high-impact media strategies for our diverse client portfolio. Operating with a significant degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and optimization of all offline media campaigns (TV, Press, Radio, Addressable). Your expertise will directly contribute to client growth by delivering innovative and effective media solutions, enhancing brand visibility, and driving measurable results. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, capable of inspiring a team and fostering strong client relationships.
Skills and Experience
- Managing high-level relationships with Marketing and Media departments of assigned clients, acting as a trusted strategic advisor and ensuring deep alignment with their business visions and expansion paths.
- Leading the definition of innovative communication strategies, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge agency tools, technologies, and pioneering new approaches in media planning and execution.
- Driving the integration and strategic application of Digital Media, Tech, and Martech solutions into client strategies, ensuring a full-funnel approach and fostering digital transformation.
- Managing strategically the budget of assigned brands, identifying and meeting unmet client needs, and defining success through key performance indicators related to client satisfaction, value delivery, and business growth.
- Coordinating daily interactions with internal agency functions (Strategic, Digital, Technology, Commercial) and ensuring seamless collaboration and leveraging the WPP network's diverse capabilities for maximum client impact.
- Overseeing complex problem-solving initiatives, integrating cross-disciplinary insights to arrive at strategic solutions, and serving as a principal advisor on risk, steering organization-wide initiatives that improve risk identification and assessment.
- Conducting advanced competitive analysis to inform strategic recommendations and position clients for market differentiation.
- Supporting the Client Director in developing innovative projects and contributing to fostering a culture of continuous learning and talent development within the team.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in strategic media leadership or client management within the media industry, preferably with a focus on Pharma or FMCG clients.
- Degree or equivalent cultural background.
- Fluent English is Mandatory (C1).
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic media planning and a deep understanding of the evolving digital, tech, and martech landscape.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing full-funnel digital strategies.
- Exceptional client advocacy and negotiation skills, with a history of shaping client engagements and optimizing business success.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive value for clients and the agency.
- Previous experience in a strategic role or a strong strategic component within past position will be considered as a plus.
