About the job
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Architect role supporting new data initiatives across the organization. The architect will be responsible for designing enterprise data warehouse solutions, defining data models, and creating technical documentation that guides the data engineering teams. The role also involves working closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs. This role is separate from the data engineering team and is focused on architecture, technical direction, and solution design rather than day-to-day pipeline development.
What you’ll do:
- Designing enterprise data warehouse architectures and data models.
- Defining data integration strategies across multiple source systems, including relational databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
- Creating architecture and technical design documentation.
- Collaborating with data engineers to implement solutions.
- Developing proof of concepts for new tools or technologies before broader implementation.
- Providing technical leadership on new data initiatives while remaining hands-on when needed.
What you’ll need:
- Enterprise data warehouse design and architecture.
- Strong dimensional data modeling experience.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience with Kafka.
- AWS experience.
- Enterprise data integration experience, including relational databases, APIs, and streaming data.
- Ability to create technical architecture documentation and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Hands-on development experience to build proof of concepts when evaluating new technologies.
Nice to have:
- Data Vault modeling experience.
- Experience with enterprise ETL/ELT or data integration platforms.
- Experience working in high-volume enterprise environments processing millions of transactions.
