ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Developer (Python), you will join a highly motivated and experienced team, building web and mobile applications as well as providing strategy consulting for Appnovation’s clients. We are looking for people who can bring a strong, consulting, and solution-focused mindset. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• 5-7 years of professional Python development experience in enterprise or MarTech environments, 2 years of experience as a lead
• Demonstrated experience using Claude (Anthropic) or equivalent LLM tools and GitHub Copilot as active development aids - not just awareness
• Practical prompt engineering skills: ability to craft, iterate, and optimize prompts for real automation and coding tasks
• Strong experience with REST API integration and working with third-party platform SDKs
• Proficiency with Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams with cross-functional stakeholders
• Solid problem-solving capability — comfortable with under-defined requirements and iterative discovery
• Experience with unit testing, TDD, and integration testing
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub actions and Jenkins or Travis CI.
• Understanding of agile principles and methodologies for e.g. Scrum, Kanban

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with MarTech platforms: Veeva Vault, Adobe AEM, Workfront, or DAM/PIM systems
• Familiarity with content supply chain, content operations, or omnichannel marketing technology
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of data engineering tools: pandas, PySpark, Airflow, or equivalent pipeline frameworks
• Exposure to ML frameworks or LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face) for applied use cases
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or highly regulated industry environments
• Familiarity with validated system environments (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) at a professional working level

• You have prior experience in consulting
• Prior experience and connections in the Life Sciences industry is preferred
