About the Opportunity - Senior Demand Generation Manager
Salsify is seeking a Senior Demand Generation Manager to lead pipeline generation efforts for our growing B2B manufacturing and distribution business. This role will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing programs that target, engage, and qualify prospective customers across manufacturers and distributors in industrial sectors such as industrial supplies / MRO, electrical, building materials and construction supplies, janitorial and sanitation, safety / PPE, chemical pharmaceuticals, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR), and plumbing / pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF).
You will partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Content Marketing, and Business Development teams to create and optimize campaigns that generate awareness, drive engagement, and convert prospects into qualified opportunities.
This is a highly visible role with significant influence on Salsify's growth strategy in one of our fastest-growing segments. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, has a passion for data-driven marketing, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where experimentation and innovation are encouraged.
What You'll Do
- Own demand generation strategy and execution for Salsify's B2B manufacturing and distribution segment.
- Develop and manage integrated campaigns across digital advertising, webinars, events, content syndication, email marketing, social media, partner marketing, and account-based marketing (ABM).
- As an emerging segment, continuously test and refine the demand mix, doubling down on what converts and retiring what doesn't to build a repeatable engine.
- Build programs that target key buyer personas within manufacturing and distribution organizations, including ecommerce, marketing, product data, digital transformation, IT, and commercial leaders.
- Partner with Product Marketing to create messaging and campaigns that resonate with industrial manufacturers and distributors.
- Partner with the B2B content strategy and thought leadership leads to turn flagship content such as research reports and executive insights into demand programs (campaigns, nurture, syndication) that convert authority into pipeline.
- Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to align marketing efforts with pipeline goals and strategic account priorities.
- Design and execute lead nurturing programs that move prospects through the buyer journey and increase conversion rates.
- Analyze live campaign performance and optimize for conversion and efficiency through data-driven decision making.
- Manage campaign budgets and forecast program performance against pipeline and revenue goals.
- Partner with industry associations, buyer groups, media organizations, and channel and ecosystem partners to expand reach and generate demand.
- Track and communicate marketing performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI to stakeholders across the organization.
- Bring an outside-in view of how industrial manufacturers and distributors buy and where the market is heading, and translate that into sharper messaging and campaigns.
Here's What You'll Bring to Our Team
- 6+ years of experience in demand generation, growth marketing, field marketing, or integrated marketing roles.
- Proven track record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue impact through multi-channel demand generation programs.
- Strong understanding of lead generation, lead nurturing, account-based marketing, and funnel optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using marketing metrics to optimize campaign performance.
- Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, or similar technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience partnering across Sales, Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, and Executive stakeholders.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Fluency in English.

- Direct experience marketing to manufacturers and distributors in industrial sectors.
- Understanding of how these companies buy, sell, and modernize — and the role product content plays in powering their buying experiences and syndicating to distributors, marketplaces, and aggregators.
- Experience with account-based marketing platforms and strategies.
- Familiarity with ecommerce, product information management (PIM), product experience management (PXM), digital asset management (DAM), or related commerce technologies.
- Experience managing third-party industry partnerships, associations, and event sponsorships.
- Knowledge of industrial distribution ecosystems and B2B digital transformation initiatives.

In your first year, you will:
- Build and scale a repeatable demand generation engine for Salsify's B2B manufacturing and distribution business, including identifying which demand motions work best for the segment.
- Increase awareness and engagement among manufacturers and distributors evaluating product information solutions to achieve growth ambitions.
- Drive a meaningful contribution to qualified pipeline and revenue growth.
- Establish measurable marketing programs that consistently generate high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
- Become a trusted strategic partner to Sales, Product Marketing, and executive leadership as we expand our presence in this market.
