As a School Social Worker at Rebecca School, you will support students and families within our specialized school setting. You will serve as a liaison between students' home and school environments, provide counseling services, connect families to resources, and partner with interdisciplinary teams to promote each student's functional-emotional development using neurodiversity-affirming DIRFloortime®-informed practices.
What You’ll Need
Master's degree in social work (MSW) or related supportive mental health field
New York State licensed master of social work (LMSW) or licensed clinical social work (LCSW) certification preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
What You’ll Do
Provide ongoing family support, education, referrals, and community resources to students' family networks
Conduct home visits and provide clinical and counseling services to students
Complete documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and family communication
Participate in IEP meetings to support families, administer social histories, and conduct school visits following placement letters
